For those who are interested, here are the Screen Actors Guild Nominations:

Actress
Patricia Clarkson, The Station Agent (Miramax)
Diane Keaton, Something's Gotta Give (Columbia)
Charlize Theron, Monster (Newmarket)
Naomi Watts, 21 Grams (Focus)
Evan Rachel Wood, Thirteen (Fox Searchlight)

I can't tell you how disappointed I am that Tomovoz's illegitimate niece, Nicole Kidman, didn't receive a single nomination for anything!

We discussed Amy Camus a page or two before your question.  I thought you were trying to be funny.  Sorry!

And neither was Tomovoz's illegitimate niece, Nicole Kidman, exhusband Tom Cruise.

No buttons.  When you select your text for movement and click on the marquee button, the gibberish that comes up surrounding your text begins "move=left."  You can change "left" to "right," "up" or "down."

Perhaps someone has realised just how difficult it is to compete with the acting talents of Cruise and Kidman so they are now ineligible.
Seriously: Cate Blanchette, Naomi Watts, Miranda Otto, Rachel Griffiths, Toni Collette: Actresses supreme.

We'll call it Murder at HHW.

Shall we do it as a musical?  I've always wanted to be in a show, even if I get knocked off in the first act.

I was certainly not disappointed and I was certainly not aware that Sam and Froddo were crying too much! I was amazed at the inventiveness of the Battle scenes - they did not see like LOTR TT revisited.  I was also pleased to see the endings as I remember them. It would have been too easy for go for just one. The very first scene was a total surprise - a great way to start. (I thought I was about to see "A River Runs thought It").

I agree with you and was in awe of the Battle scenes.  I thought the movie was great and definitely worth the wait.  It has been over thirty years since Keith and I read the trilogy and we did not remember the same ending.  For us the book ended a bit sooner.    Now I want to reread the books, or at least the ending, and cannot find our copies.  I think our son has them. :-\

I am so FULL.

You don't know from FULL. I just opened a package my cousin sent from Switzerland. It was full of marzipan - my favorite - FAVORITE, you hear?   Oy (I'm rehearsing for Golde) did I fress! It was so good! That's it, no more, self-control. The rest I take to my dear daughter for her birthday.

Actually, Jane, except for the ships sailing to the Grey Havens, we missed a big chunk of the last part of the book.  There was a chapter called "The Scourging of the Shire" in which the Hobbits return to Hobbiton and find it overrun with all sorts of disreputable characters and they have to clean everything up.  I'm hoping against hope that Jackson filmed some of that for the expanded release.

I find the SAG awards one big ol' joke.

All awards shows are a big ol' joke - some more so than others. But they're fun.

DR Jane: My memory may just be of how I wanted the books to end! It is over 30 years ago for me too. We were such advance readers in our kindergartens. I shall probably have a quick look at a copy when I am next in a book shop.

I don't know.  He has Sir Ian McKellen's eyes, and I'm guessing Sir Ian would like to have them back.

Jennifer I emailed you the recipe.

My eyes can’t take anymore of these games. ::)  I’m going to watch something with Keith.

Don't get me wrong.  I thought TLOTR:  TROTK was a good picture.  But it is beyond me that a movie that lasts three hours and twenty minutes should warrant an "expanded" release.

I have the feeling that Mr Jackson won't disappoint you DR Ron. I"m hoping that at a Kiwi (if they still accept such things) he is granted a Knighthood for what he has given to cinema.
