Back to Paul Rudd for a moment. I remember when Lucy came out to prsent an award (at the Emmys, I think), and she had forgotten her glasses backstage and was terrified. That's very different from Paul Rudd walking out there without knowing he'd have trouble. Don't they have rehearsals in the afternoon?

Or Carol Channing at the beginning of the "Jerry Herman's Broadway at the Hollywood Bowl."  She totally couldn't see what she was supposed to read.

Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

Yup exactly.

I think the story was later told that someone had called Lucy backstage and told her Babalu Jr had been in a car wreck and hurt just before she went on...and even though it was a prank call, Lu was rattled and forgot her specs.  8) 8)

Is Zoe Akins as pretentious in performance as she seems to be?

She's quite wonderful.

I like last year's supporting actress winner presenting to this year's winner. The Oscars do it (though with man presenting to women and so on), and it would be nice to do it always with the Tonys if possible.
