The A&E documentary Facing Life; The Retrial of Evan Zimmerman was very powerful.  It's from the defense point of view, so of course I could easily relate to it.

The kidnapping?  Well, he killed himself, so no one will have to defend him. I guess the only way to answer that is, yes, I'm glad I don't have to, but if I got the case, I would still do everything I could to defend him.

I finally got so fed up with people here in LA who are just too lazy and ridiculous to ever want to go out for a late-night snack that I just toddled over to Du-Par's by myself, manucript in hand, and had a couple of poached eggs and did corrections.  I actually enjoyed it, and may do it more.  Heaven forbid anyone I know actually get off their ASS and DO something after nine at night.  Pathetic.

I am a nightowl and I love ot go to Denny's or Perkins to write after work...

During the day before work it is my favorite coffee shop... A great place to observe people. It helps to observe people to get your characters different facets.

I write for an escape. It also helps to ease isolation...

Contemplating if I want to try an opera this year. THe FArgo Moorhead Opera company is doing La Boheme this year....

Was sorting through some old tapes earlier today and was surprised that on one of my unmarked tapes I had taped the movie "Some Mother's son", and  "Playboy of hte WEstern World" -- The irish released movie. This movie is actually fairly close and true to the original play which I love.

I also discovered my copy of the Commitments is damaged.... Will have to search ebay for another copy. I really like the music from this movie. The movie a bit quirky.
