Jed, I wasn't saying I don't like LIBIII and IV, I do, very much, song-wise. I'm just saying that to do a V would have been stretching into material I didn't think good enough. I am, of course, on record about LIBIII being problematic for me in terms of its quality, but no one else notices those things but me (I'm talking technically and orchestration-wise, not performers). I had a first-time (with me) orchestrator, who a) didn't understand the way the album needed to be done (even though it was explained thoroughly) and b) who wrote parts out so illegibly they could barely be played. I had to do an additional horn and reed date to clean things up. He learned quickly, though, and turned in really top-notch work on other albums.
