Just back from a party at which I am certain we were the second and third oldest people there. :)

As I tell my eldest sister, who is almost 11 years my senior, I can always console myself when thinking of my encroaching senility by knowing she got there first.  :)

I didn't even like as a Teacher.

Of course there have been other times when it has been interesting!

We had a good laugh with a parent who dropped off their kid at Zach's birthday party a few weeks ago.  Betsy and I thought before the kids went to school that we'd be the oldest parents around, but it turned out we're actually in exactly the same age range as most, and actually younger than quite a few.  So anyway this mother dropped her son off and said she had had a really bad day capped by some stranger asking her at the store if she had any more grandchildren (she had been with her son, not her grandson).

Enjoyed my assortment of shows tonight.

I began by finishing the MEDIUM episode concerning Allison's brother who gets involved with bank robbers. I had totally forgotten the BIG surprise related to the show, and flipped all over again when we had  the BIG reveal.

While waiting for network TV to commence, I watched about 25 minutes of SKY CAPTAIN AND THE WORLD OF TOMORROW on Showtime-HD. High def doesn't do much for this film since the computer generated backgrounds and bleached out real people with color overlays all appears soft focused.

Still, Jude Law is nice to look at, and Giovanni Ribisi is fun. I left it before Ms. Jolie made her appearance.

JUSTICE had two cases running simultaneously, and the one in the courtroom really had me guessing. Great story and a wonderful surprise ending. The abandoned baby plot held my attention less well.

Just noticed that I will no doubt make it to 9000 before the end of the year. What that will prove is not really much more than I have too much time on my hands.  Bah! Humbug. I wonder if I should give jars of humbugs away at Christmas time. (with love from Not so Tiny Tom)

I watched the black and white telecast of MONK tonight and enjoyed it even though I had the whole thing figured out pretty early.

The show was basically given away to anyone who knows who Stephen Bogardus is since we could tell the pictures in the home of the husband and wife weren't of him.
