You late night denizens are a bit daft.   ;D

My offer is in and formalized.  I have a nice salaried 30 hour/week gig as MD for a large church with a good size choir (30 voices), orchestra (20 pieces), worship band (quartet), and bell choir (5 octaves with about 2 dozen players).  Plus a healthy benefits package.  This is virtually unheard of in church gig-land, at least in my experience.  So I am a very happy camper.  Now I just need to gracefully give notice at my current church gig, which hopefully won't cause too much tsuris (causing tsuris in a Christian church is especially unseemly).

Congregation, err, I mean congratulations DR JMK!

Are we really approaching 400?  And not on an awards night?  Most unseemly.

I just wrapped 2 dozen presents and am taking a dinner break at midnight. Most unseemly.

Yes--I'm not a young wippersnapper like jhvw (this seems to have become this evening's theme, certainly not Younger than Springtime), have been down this road many-a time before.  I think it will be fine--more concerned about their reaction than my ability to do it gracefully.  :)

3 presents have lots of puncture marks in them. Gris-Gris, who likes to gnaw on cardboard, apparently was punching holes when I was out of the room. My friends and family are starting to get used to presents with holes in them.

Awwwwwww....

I had a big crush on Tommy Steele when I was in Jr. High.

Didn't you also mention a cannibal song that Tommy Steele sang? I think it was "Gonna Be Hot in the Cannibal Pot Tonight".
