DR Tomovoz, thanks so much for your nice comments about our film. I'd like to forward them to the director if that's OK...

DR TomovOz:  Spare yourself the disappointment.  If you go into "DreamGirls" expecting to be displeased with it, you WILL be displeased with it.

It's absolutely fabulous, but....
I'm hoping to love it Ron! that's why I've not built up any expectations.  I'll never get to see it staged.  I survived the movie of "RENT" and I loathed the stage production. I've not been game enough yet to tackle "POTO" on film. Warlow is repeating his Phantom role in Melbourne in May. (Not even that can tempt me!).
His "New" recordings with and without Hobson are being distributed etc independently.  Hobson has been hawking the discs to the retailers!  They are WAY to expensive on Amazon etc!  do you kow anyone in OZ who can copy them?

Speaking of Calendars, I think BK ought to consider a "Kritzerland" calendar one year.

Each month would feature a photo of some local spot that figures prominently in the trilogy.

That would be cool! :D

I can't believe I didn't think of this before, but I just checked and the library where I work ordered four copies of "The Internationale"!  There are four requests!

Catching up with two days' posts here...

Went to see my GP doc today.  He was extremely pleased with my blood work--blood sugar, low--cholesterol, low, triglycerides, low.  Everything was low, low, low!  Tomorrow I see my cardiologist and hopefully he will clear me to go back to work next week.  I miss the office and I'm getting bored with home life now that the holidays are done.

I wonder if they ever sang "The Internationale" on Sing Along With Mitch.  I bet they would have made it sound pretty good.

I couldn't decide among unseen DVDs, so I put in THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH, Pierce Brosnan's next-to-last Bond adventure. Would have been one of the better Bonds were it not for the annoying and amateurish presence of Denise Richards. And she's playing a Ph.D. in nuclear physics. Yeah, right.
I think of it as one of the better Bonds in spite of the annoying and amateurish presence of Denise Richards.

Nice for Dame Judy's M to get out of the office and do something practical for a change.

I've just heard who Bill O'Reilly is having as his guest on his television show tonight.

Dr. Laura Schlessenger.

I may need to get me a sledgehammer.

MattH's post put me in the mood for some cocoa as well.  Luckily, we got some cocoa as a Christmas present and there's some left.

I got cocoa from 3 different people for Christmas...lol, I didn't know my love for chocolate was quite that obvious

Does anybody hear what I hear?

In "The Wizard of Oz" there is a song with a phrase that goes:

"You'll be hist..."
"You'll be hist..."
"You'll be hist-o-ry!"

Can't for the life of me remember which song (I thought it might by the lion's "If I Were King of the Forest", but it doesn't play out in my head to include those lyrics).

I've often wondered, however, if the lyrics are:

"You'll be hissed!"
"You'll be hissed!'
"You'll be hist-o-ry!"

It's whatever the welcome to Munchkinland song is.
