I ate terribly today. I ended up eating a peanut butter sandwich and a hot fudge sundae for dinner....

And there is a skywalk between my building and the library.  When I looked at the space and looked out the window I thought of you!

I have a Foundation Center counterpart at that library - maybe I should arrange a field trip after you get settled in your new digs.

Cillaliz-I still haven’t seen the dog show or the Bernese Mountain Dog. Sherlock now weighs 82 pounds.  I’m so glad he doesn’t pull too often when I’m on the other end of the leash.

Jeanne-Keith and I both watched THE GALE STORM SHOW & MY LITTLE MARGIE.

Sounds like a plan!   It looks like I'll still go to Cincinnati in April, but I have to see how a few things shake out first.

How much snow do you have?

Just a good dusting, enough to cover the ground.  I'd say about 1/4-inch - at least in our backyard.

I think this guy was best in breed. If you want to see the breed judging, here's a video from the Westminster Kennel Club website

I have never tried Red Velvet Cake.

Jose-All flights should go as smoothly as yours did.

Cillaliz-Thanks for the photo and link, that is a nice looking Bernese Mountain Dog.

Yes in the play they talk a LOT about the red velvet cake shaped like a possum with gray icing.  And in the movie, they hack into with glee - and a knife.  It was a tradition of the family of the groom.

I liked about 1/2 of the actresses in STEEL MAGNOLIAS.  I thought Dukakis' accent was terrible and her line readings were atrocious.  BUT I had stage managed a 12 week run of the play with some really good ladies, so their line readings were drummed into my brain.

I also saw the BEST M'Lynn ever in Chicago - Miss Anne Francis.

Most schools in the state are closed tomorrow.  Many counties declaring winter emergencies with only Emergency Travel permitted.  Still raining ice and snow.

Even a LOT of the malls and movie theatres are closed!

So hungry.  Haven't heard from Miss Rush.  She was going to have a coffee with her ex-boyfriend.  That was supposed to be over at seven.  This is why I do not like ex-boyfriends, especially ones that are obsessed about their former girlfriends.  I guess I may not eat until eight - I shall be very ornery by then.

Loved OH SUSANNA! when Robby the Robot showed up on the Ocean Queen; the episode where Susanna did a rock and roll wedding dream number; and the episode when Gale sang "Faraway Places" while thinking about marrying a Prince and giving up her career (she didn't).

I watched the extras on my two Doris Day DVD's - written about here on HHW.  Okay....not the most informative, but I liked the Polly Bergen interview on MOVE OVER DARLING.

Years ago, FX Network put together a rough cut of SOMETHING'S GOT TO GIVE and so we've seen all of the Marilyn clips before.  And I don't necessarily agree with the Marilyn biographer's comparison of Day and Monroe.  Said biographer also refers to Elizabeth Taylor several times as a "Fox star" - which La Liz was NOT.

I can't watch a dog show without thinking of the movie Best in Show. I think that's part of why I love to watch these
