Adrianna-Whenever we move one of the first things I do is to find a book group to join.  On our first stint in Michigan I belonged to three groups at once.  How I managed that with two young children & a house full of pets I have no idea.  Maybe I really needed the breaks since Keith was traveling so much. ;)  I enjoyed all three groups very much.

Good throat vibes!

It looks very nice.  I suggest if you aren't getting the king suite to check out the room sizes.  Those NY boutique hotel rooms can be way too small.

They can't be any smaller than the ones in the Comfort Inn!

The 414 appears to be just west, and across 10th Ave., from Joe Allen on 46th St.  I think it's also not far from the home of DR FJL.

The eyes have it.

I would have to think about my DECEIT review before posting.....had some reservations written about here.

Why has none of these esteemed book groups ever done the Kritzer books.  What fun that would be.  Of course, all Jane's groups and recommendations from everyone on earth have precluded her from even sampling the last two books of mine own, and for that I have to say skammen.  But, that's just me.

There are big flakes of snow coming down, ever so lightly covering our satellite dish & interfering with our internet connection.  Our phone company has been installing the cables for DSL and we are having difficulty staying patient until its connected.

Actually, the hotel is on 9th Avenue. Joe Allen's is on 46th Street between 8th and 9th (closer to 8th Avenue at 326 W. 46th) and the address of your hotel is also the name, 414, which puts it on the southwest corner of 9th Avenue. It's between 9th and 10th, closer to 9th, on the south side of the street. You're right, it's just 3 blocks from lovely FJL's (and Skip and Toby and Dylan's) apartment. It does look like a nice place. 9th Avenue in midtown is certainly nicer than it was 20 odd years ago when I lived on 46th Street between 10th and 11th. Lots of fun shops to explore and it's easy to get around (though it can be hectic on the sidewalks pre-theatre).

It is only the last book I haven’t read, & I will eventually read it.

Just when I am finding some time to read again I have to find the next KITE RUNNER or THE SPARROW, the style of book my group & most book groups read.

I have also been given the honor of reading a 417 page manuscript with the request of my honest opinion.

That sounds like quite a responsibility, DR Jane.

Not much happened at preschool today. There were two Time Outs during recess. Toni wrote three quarters of her name. I didn't get to eat my plate because they didn't want to eat their cooked carrots (and I don't blame them).

The one errand I planned to do on my way home from work was some banking for the organization for which I'm treasurer.  The only locations of that particular bank that are open after I get off work are in Kroger grocery stores, so I decided to stop at the one nearest our house.  As I started into the parking lot, I noticed at least 6 police cruisers lined up along the front of the store.  I turned around and came home.  Didn't want to get into whatever was going on there.

I am bored and getting quite annoyed at my inablity to talk...mainly because I can, but after a few minutes my throat begins to hurt and get raspy, so I'm on silent mode.

Very interesting about all the different book groups, I did not know they were that common. (oh the small world of a teenage just out of high school these days)

I am currently studying up on my oscar history so I know what the heck I'm talking about in conversation.

I have to give a serious tip of the hat to our Dear Elmore -- more than once since I've listened to the CD, I've referenced him as "brilliant" or a "genius," or some combination of those two descriptions.  :)

It's such a cross to bear.

It's all the Guy HainesKritzerland tracks!

"American Yodel" is over, and it's time for bed! 'Night!
