We had a grand visit with Cil. She came over to the apartment and we chatted and relaxed and then she got her fried chicken fix! Apparently, earlier she asked Master Chef/Tour Guide Mr. Jose Simbulan where to get fried chicken in New York and he mentioned Chat and Chew (a block from our apartment). When I was mentioning our options for dinner, I spoke of that place so there was no question where we would go. She had a delicious plate of fried chicken with skin-on mashed potatoes. Anthony had a very good meat loaf, also with skin-on mashed potatoes and I had a chicken pot pie. We also had unlimited refill iced tea (unsweetened). It was just enough food. We didn't have dessert but we did have a wonderful time. If your ears were burning you know why. We walked over to Sixth Avenue from Chat and Chew, helped Cil hail a cab and she was on her way back uptown. She may be back at M&M World for all we know (they are open until midnight, after all).

Good night, all. I'll check in tomorrow morning.

Maybe Jose knows:  Is there any way to get that dessert caviar without buying the overpriced sundae?

Pardon - being a newbie and all - but are we allowed to mention F.A. on here?

Indeed!  It shall henceforth remain egregiously overlooked!

DR MICHAEL SHAYNE has created the Bruce Kimmel Website here that answers most questions, raises others, and includes many fine photographs.   ;D

Well, I'm a singer by avocation, and my initials are daw.  So there you have it.  Not terribly clever.  But serviceable!

Small world department. I was in a Shakespeare reading group with Mr. Winters long ago in 1982 and 1983. A friend decided we should read all of Shakespeare's plays in order and every Monday night for weeks we did that. Time was part of the group along with many other actors. I always remembered him because of his name. I haven't seen him since, except (again, in the 80s) across the lounge at Equity during auditions or his name would pop up in the credits of some television show, especially when he was in LA for periods of time.

His real name is Tim, and it was a published letter to FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMDOM that added the final e to his name.  He went through high school as Time, and I dearly love him.  He's been living in LA for the past 20 years, and I used to see him when I went out to mix a recording with BK.  I spoke to him on the phone when I was working on The Brain, and i'm still pissed at myself for not inviting him and his wife to the invited dress.

He makes a great Sherlock Holmes.  In fact it was an Off-Off-Broadway Holmes mystery that got him a rave review in theNew York Times and a ton of phone calls from agents who wouldn't give him the time of day till then.

You know, DR DearReaderLaura, it's very funny...but at my real job, one of our accounts is United Airlines.  I deal with real Flight Attendants every day.  And, sorry to say, but some of the stereotypes are... Really. True.  !!  Not to offend anyone.

LOL, not I didn't go back into M & M world tonight, I still have plenty from my trek there this afternoon, but I did take some photos of the animation outside the store.

Had a lovely time with DR Ben and DP Ant. It was great fun and Chat and Chew was delicious.  We did chat and we did chew...

I didn't realize until I got back to the hotel that I forgot to take photos!

You know, DR JRand56, at one point today when I logged into this site, one of the blue links running across the top of the header page read: "Marry Poppins."  And I wondered what was up...have some troupers from "Tony & Tina's Wedding" crashed this Disney production?

About to start movie number three.  As to the former label, well, no, they've provided enough tragedy and comedy to last a lifetime.

DRs Cillaliz, Ben and Ant - Glad to know you had a good time and a good meal at Chat'n'Chew.  But you passed on the dessert?!?!?!?  Guess you'll have to head back there before you head back Sunday.  I highly recommend the Chocolate Coca-Cola Cake.  Warm.  And A La Mode.  :)
