O fearless leader, I have returned from my review posting mission --- FINALLY!  Success!  Karo has posted her Brain review on amazon.com for the people of Earth to see... like I said I know my review has already resulted in the purchase of one Brain CD.....A highly successful mission I must say -- oh, and it's the expanded version (CDBaby psyched me out with their "keep it brief" directive, but amazon owed me so I wasn't to be denied)...

P.S. Fearless Leader ~ Another success story about my amazon posting experience. I went into the site and posted my review without any help from Case.  Did it all by my lonesome...The Cro-Magnon is evolving!

Jose-I want a taste of the sundae, minus the caviar.

Maybe Jose knows:  Is there any way to get that dessert caviar without buying the overpriced sundae?

I've had "dessert caviar" before that was made from pearl tapioca, but from the sundae description, it looks like they're just using American Golden Caviar which is very mild to begin with.  It's used a lot for garnishing, and it's often tinted/colored and flavored to suit the respective dish.  And the description does say it's infused with passion fruit, orange and Armagnac.

I wouldn't be surprised to find it carried at Dean & DeLuca or Balducci's.  Although, frankly, I think all you really would have to do is buy a jar of American Golden Caviar, empty it into a bowl, pour some passion fruit and orange juices and Armagnac over it... Then drain, and serve.

I'm guessing it's like the tobiko that sushi chefs use, another very mild-tasting fish roe.  -Which is also colored and flavored according to the chef's whim.

*I've colored tobiko before - and it's very easy.  So, that's why I think it would be easy to "sweeten" the golden caviar.

Of course, what I meant to say in the above post... It's probably more of texture thing than anything else.  Truly a gilding of the lily.

And dear talented and hubba-hubba Jose.......may your lily remain forever gloriously gilded!

And to Dear Esteemed BK, and the assorted crazies and lovelies - - my eyes are tired early tonight, so it's "fall over time" very soon for me.

Goodnight DR Laura .... don't let the crazy man get you down.

....... goodnight Lucy.....Fred drank too much, and Ethel didn't want to have to be so dumpy.....

Wow! It seems that there is quite a comedienne (stand-up artist?) in the US of A and that ITS name is Ann Coulter!

I know it's not fair to judge a person from her look but she does look... strange!
Is she on something too?!

I would not even send her "into rehab"! She does not deserve it!

Just discovered some very interesting information. Looks like planes are landing and taking off from the airport in Omaha, but I-29 from Omaha to Sioux City is still closed and is expected to remain closed all weekend. SO, I may get to Omaha on Sunday, but I don't know if I'll make it home!

My fearless cat-sitter has been braving closed roads to tend to her charges who are stranded around town without their human parents.  She also made it to her acreage to feed her horses.  I think she's crazy to be driving on the roads and told her so, but I also appreciate that Callie is getting her medicine.   She also gave me the name of someone who I called and he will have my driveway cleaned out before I arrive home.

I guess that's what I should also try to do with Ann Coulter: know to hear what she means, not what she says!

If she were French, I guess her name would be Ann Le Pen (in the ...) ;)

Edisaurus to get new neighbors:

TMZder Brucer

I comedy about cavemen didn't work thirty years ago on CBS (IT'S ABOUT TIME), and I suspect it won't work now either. Frankly, I find those caveman commercials painfully unfunny.

My Panasonic DVD player (2 years old) has a connection for a three-prong cable called "to enjoy progressive video" - is this what is used instead of the "s" cable to get the better picture on a one them new fangled tee vees?

Yes, you must use the component outputs (red-blue-green) in order to turn on progressive scan video. And in most players, that doesn't happen automatically. Once you plug in those cables, go to the setup menu on your DVD player and choose 480p in the video settings. The default is 480i which is all you can get with s-video.

I wonder if Dingdaw is a variation on the colloquilism "Dingbat".  The term is not used often in Oz these days but certainly was until about 1960.

I LOVE the movie THE ELEPHANT MAN. John Hurt got all the reviews, but I honestly thought Anthony Hopkins was the heart and soul of the movie and got overlooked.

After I took care of my own chores and those of my friend Jeff, I had time to continue rewatching BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN. I'm a little more than halfway through it and loving it just as much this time through as the other times I've seen it.
