Yes DR EDISAURUS - the Albano-Waite is a redrawn version of the Rider-Waite (or as Trish calls it, the Rider-Wyatt).

Lots of things going on at HHW today.  Very interesting to read.

I am working an extra day this week.....Wed-Sat....so I won't be around much, I hope.

A gentleman who writes a weekly column for the Clarksburg, West Virginia, Exponent-Telegram emailed me a couple of weeks ago.  He wanted to use some of the information I used in my online bio of Miss Allison for a column he was devoting to her.

I said of course.  He is supposed to send me some clippings of the article.  Allison/Mary Jane was born in Charleston, West Virginia, and even though she moved away as an infant back to her mother's hometown of Washington D.C. - West Virginia claims her as their own.

Once again I couldn’t go for my daily constitution.  Last year I read that burning was going to become illegal.  Well, it hasn’t happened.  There is so much smoke outside, blowing in the direction of our house, if I exercise and inhale that stuff I won’t be able to breath.

I’m grumpy now and feeling out of sorts.

Watching some of the DVD's I purchased today.

THE SQUID AND THE WHALE - okay....

THE ILLUSIONIST - okay....just for me, I don't find Edward Norton all that good looking OR talented....haven't since that BIG IMPORTANT role that so many critics said was breath-taking, etc....

Getting ready to watch ALL THE KINGS MEN - a unnecessary remake, but maybe interesting....at least I thought so until I saw the name of one of the Executive Producers.  If it becomes too much of a rant of HIS kind, I won't finish watching.

Well... There's nothing like learning a show in two hours!

Truly exhilarating!

DR JANE - I saw a quick shot of a doggie that looked just like Sherlock in a television commercial.  Now I can't remember the product....darn it.

I will watch for it again.  It was a national commercial.

For the card:

I see a Frank Lloyd Wright house in your future, or maybe just in your neighborhood.

Sorry, I meant the show...

Something along the lines of "As the sands in the hourglass..."

I'm sorry, DR Jane, as you have reason to be grumpy!  But I'm glad to see that this expression hasn't died out completely.

So... It was a good first day back at rehearsal.  And since I was just there last week for the first "meet and greet", it truly was like the first day of rehearsal for me.  We started off the day with another "meet and greet" since the rest of the ensemble came in today.  It's a great group of Broadway vets and Broadway babies.

After the designer presentations, I retired to the "office" with the assistant conductor, and we went through the show.  Whew!  Thankfully, since it's a Kander & Ebb show, once a number starts, it basically just goes from there - no major tempo changes to worry about, nothing too tricky.  Of course, there are still a lot of notes to keep track of, but I did pretty well playing along while Jim (Laev) conducted.  And then after lunch, I played for the blocking rehearsals while Patrick continued with the music in the other room.

*And my familiarity - and love(!) - of the original play really came in handy today too.  :)

How far ahead do you get the music to prepare, or are you truly sight-reading?

Well DRJOSE, I suppose somebody has to like it....and you and DR ELMORE are champions who may - MAY - make me change my mind.

I started reading it again last week - but didn't get past the dinosaur walking into the living room.  The flying scenery did it for me the first time....so at least I got a bit further.

I like the time change, I feel more awake when I wake up.

I like the time change too. Today I got a ton of things done after work. I had yard work to do (clearing up downed limbs from various storms) and several other outdoor things.  I also had time to wash the car etc all after work. The extra hour after work is a lot nicer than I thought it would be
