Holy Moley!

Good morning, all!  This is not a good day.  I had dreams about my dad last night, and this morning I'm all weepy, with no wish to get out of bed or to expend any energy.  The dreams had something to do with driving me back to school (airport?), his friend Lucille was in some of  the dream, but so was my mother.  Curiously, in my memory of the dream, I have no idea whose house I was in: it wasn't the one where I grew up, it wasn't my dad's house that we now need to sell, and it wasn't Randy's house where he died.  In the course of my dream, I was being driven somewhere, and I was in the back seat.  I moved forward to touch my dad, and he vanished.  In my memory of the dream, my mother - who was driving - said "your dad's dead; he's not here."

She's been dead for 13 years now, and I don't miss her much; she was too crazy, and her love was thoroughly conditional.  The thing I learned too slowly was that my dad's love was unconditional.  Randy had a bad day a couple of days ago cleaning out dad's clothing.  I have no idea how the Macbeths are coping.

Even though I want to go back to bed, I have to head downtown and deal with jury duty dates.

DR edisaurus - Hmm... I can't say I noticed anything unseemly going on at the Atlanta airport the day I flew out.

I hope your disappointment doesn't spoil your day.

What's that called, when two people suddenly say the same thing at the same time?  And then there's some ritual you're supposed to perform immediately?  There must be a posting equivalent...

Taking your father on a successful journey and letting him go.  Resolved issues with mother still troublesome.  The house was the destination - and who knows what it will be like, until we can't make a report.

The Girl in the Black Stockings is one weird 1957 movie....even without hypnosis.

You get Lex Barker in swim trunks...wet ones....but you also have John Dehner in blue jeans....  Everyone seems to be spouting philosophical dialog, and the dead body count rivals some of today's films:  four....all done in by - a future Academy Award winner.

He had to sign a confidentiality agreement, which isn't unusual.

DR Edisaurus, I find it interesting that the people in the physical studio have to sign confidentiality agreements, while the people behind the scenes, for example, in the editing room, don't.  You're much closer to the final product than anyone in the studio is!

It's the people behind the scenes who see the "stars" in various emotional states, from serious professional to asshole.  It's usually the crew for the gossip about the tantrums, sexual assignations, fitting problems, demands, etc.

I may have to listen to the Cast CD I bought many years ago.

Isn't it terrible?  I, too, bought that album, years ago - but have never listened to it.

Stars make demands?  Who would have guessed.

For example, DR JoseSPiano's contract requires that a jar containing ONLY blue[/color] M&Ms be placed on his piano prior to his arrival at the studio.

I've heard great gossip about Jeremy Sisto's "star" behavior in his play on Broadway last year, Lauren Bacall in DOG OF THE YEAR, Treat Williams in the film HAIR, and more that I cannot remember now, all from the costume crew.  Usually, too, it's the crew or personal assistant that bears the brunt of the "star's" misbehaving, since they have to clean up the mess, redo/rebuild something, trouble shootetc.
