It's a stopgap solution using what he has on hand. Ideally, he'd have the green-blue-red video cables for component connections, but since he didn't mention having those, I ATTEMPTED to help him solve his problem as clearly as I knew how. It would be easier doing it by phone, of course.

You're doing great - I'm just teasing (which I rarely do).

Hurrah for the new TV JRAnd56...I hope Allison (and perhaps June) will look glorious on it!

My dream is to one day watch ATTACK OF THE PUPPET PEOPLE on a large plasma screen TV!

Happy Birthday Sir Andrew!

Actually, it's Lord Lloyd Webber, now. :D

Now that we've exhausted hypnosis, I shall now be a seer and say that I believe this day will enter the top ten.  Of course, if I'm proven wrong, then I shall be a seer sucker.

Well... Since it now looks like I will be coming in tomorrow for part of tomorrow's rehearsal, I'm going to pass on "Johnny Guitar" at Chelsea Clearview tonight.  :(

So, until I return to chez Harlem...

I still have my yet un-watched copy by the bedstead - you mean I dare take it to the living room and play it on my 52" HDTV?

If I had done anything exciting today, I would have something to post about. But, alas, it is a lovely day with absolutely no excitement whatsoever, except that it is raining, which is always an exciting thing in the desert.

I mean, if I had some excitement, then I could make lots and lots of posts, which would help us get to be a top-ten day.

Actually BOTH titles are correct...if you're British, an Anglophile, or impressed by such things.

Here in the USA, though, he's Tony Webber

Yeah, if memory serves it can go from sunny skies to light drizzle to flash floods in lickity split!

It was driving across Arizona when I first saw rain bounce!

It worked DR MATTH - thanks so much!

Unfortunately I picked up the first DVD on the stack and it was HOLLYWOODLAND....

The director says in an interview:  "No one wanted a full biography of George Reeves...."

He didn't ask me.

And if Drowsy Chaperone comes to town, MusicGuy, Kerry, Sandra and I will take him out for ice cream. (We don't do bars.)

But what about ice cream bars?

DR Ron Pulliam - I am sooo with you regarding Peter Noone's and Lulu's performances last night on "AI".  Mr. Noone should have just done one chorus and called it a night.  And Lulu should have just sung the song the way she did back then, instead of trying to make it all hip and "today".  *And just how much "work" have both of them had done?  ;)

Lulu "looks" great....from what we can see.  I imagine there've been some nips and tucks here and there (and, oh my, EVERYwhere).

Noone seems fine when just talking...but that performance makes me think hie's a bit deluded about his youthfulness.

The Leahys have also recorded with The Chieftains... Donal Leahy is married to Natalie MacMaster, a very talented fiddler in the Cape Breton tradition.

The last times I've been in bars:

A. The animal-themed drinking club after the incident.
B. After a Jason Graae concert when DR Sandra Jackson-Pollacked a cherry tomato on some guy's suit.
C. After a Jason Graae concert in Palm Springs when a group of intoxicated people were taking bets on whether or not DR Sandra and I were lesbian lovers.
