Thanks for asking the doctor today said I have a pinched nerve and will need an MRI to see the extent of the problem, but it will have to wait until I get back from Montreal. In the meantime I have painkillers to help me through.

Note to Michael S: Stop letting people pinch you!

And Sarah, I think you are adorable as a cat. I assumed you had been a cast member of a production of CATS!

Good Evening!

What another great day this has been.  A little weird at times, but still great.

Amy - I don't know if you're still looking for Avenue Q for this Sat matinee, but they seem to have released some nice seats for that on telecharge.com, but full price though.

DR Cason - Welcome to the Clouds!

-As for "Casonous" - that sounds more like an adjective to me - "Hmm... That flower looks Casonous to me."  ;)

DR edisaurus - And to piggy-back on DR FJL's post... My friend just got the house seat request back from company management.  Alas, the house seat allotment is already gone for this weekend, but they did note that the Premium Seats had been released, and suggested that you just check at the box office for tickets.

As for tonight's invited dress rehearsal of Irving Berlin's Face the Music...

I had a wonderful time.  A very fun and funny presentation. A great cast, good choreography, and good score.  Is it Top Shelf "Irving Berlin"?  No.  But there are some great tunes - "Let's Have Another Cup of Coffee", "Manhattan Madness" - and there were some great jokes too.  Some nice, honest, unforced laughs.

And at intermission I happened to run in John Kander - who was very happy not to be listening to his own music for a change ;).  We had a nice little chat, and I was able to introduce (former) DR Jason to him - Jason was my seatmate for the evening.

And Mr. Kander had a very interesting observation:  "You know, I think it was a big mistake when "Musical Comedy" started to be called "Musical Theatre".  People started to take themselves too seriously."

BK, suppose . . . someone . . . were to attempt a brief review of Kurosawa's "High and Low" in the form of a new lyric to the Schwartz and Dietz song "High and Low."

How would it go?

Jason and I took the pair on the aisle, and my roommate too the single.  All three seats were very good.  Thank you.  Again!

*And I have to add that Jason looks great - he's lost 25 pounds!  His job is going well, and his schedule is starting to settle.  And he also got called in to audition for an upcoming off-Broadway show!  -The casting director remembered him from an audition he gave three years ago!  :)

Oh, and you look cute as a cat.

I first read that like the way people say "cute as a bug" (the short version of "cute as a bug in a rug") -- and it made me laugh -- now I think I will start using that instead of "cute as a bug" -- tell folks "you're just cute as a cat!"

It's a very distinct possibility.  DR elmore asked him about that too earlier tonight after the show, so...  He's needed the time to get things in order as it were, and now that he has...

DR SwishySarah - As for theory... What's the difference between an German A6 chord, and a French A6 chord?  And how does each one resolve?

Tonights' AI :

Is it just me, or can that Gwen command a stage?!  I love her!  Watch and learn, Sanjaya, watch and learn (if that is even possible...)  ... and I can live with who got the boot tonight -- he totally blew it last night...
