I have not yet had a chance to see if anyone else commented on last night's show. But i loved it!  I remarked about the shock endings we've seen this season. But somehow i just was not expecting juliet's "surprise".  I can't wait to see what happens next week.

The collection features new transcriptions, previously unpublished material, and some selections never before published separately from complete vocal scores. 29 selections: "Thank You" from Mass, "Afterthought, "A Big Indian and a Little Indian" from I Hate Music!, "Civet a Toute Vitesse (Rabbit at Top Speed)" from La Bonne Cuisine, "Extinguish My Eyes" from TWO LOVE SONGS, "Glitter and Be Gay" from Candide, "Greeting" from Arias and Barcarolles, "Hurry" from Mass, "I Hate Music!" from I Hate Music!, "I'm a Person Too" from I Hate Music!, "I've Been Afraid" from A Quiet Place, "A Julia de Burgos" from Songfest, "Jupiter Has Seven Moons" from I Hate Music!, "Little Smary" from Arias and Barcarolles, "Mommy, Are You Here (Dede's Aria)" from A Quiet Place, "Music I Heard with You" from Songfest, "My Name Is Barbara" from I Hate Music!, "My Twelve-Tone Melody, "Our Father... A uqestion to the very knowledgeable stage fanatics at HHW:

Why didn't they make a cast recording of the musical version of GONE WITH THE WIND during its one year London run? With June Ritchie and Harve Presnell in the leads, it would have been glorious to listen to.

They did.  I once had it on LP, as I recall.

I guess none of our DRs were at Angela Lansbury's first preview last night; her return to the NY stage after 20 years.

And one can never forgive him for recording one of the worst songs in the world, MacArthur Park.  But then, of course, what can one do with some of the worst lyrics in the world...green icing melting and never not having recipes.  Geeze!  What a dumb-ass song!  I've actually heard Vic Damone sing this god-awful mess and even he can't do anything with it, so I guess I shouldn't blame Harris for it.

Vociferously disagree here.

I love Indian food. My first experience with it was in London. I used to assist an editor there who loved everything Indian. He is a vegetarian, and had a tiny kitchen, but he could whip up the most amazing dishes and his apartment would smell so delicious from all the curries.

I don't like hot & spicy food and only a few times has something arrived that was too spicy for me.

I would start with chicken tikka masala or chicken korma...very mild.

DR LAURA - adding the TWIGGY cd to your list would be a prudent thing to do.

Thanks for the skinny on the album, MR BK.

DR CP, why did you never take BK out for some Indian food when you lived in LA?

Mr BK mentioned it to me when I visited last summer, but somehow it never happened.

DR SINGDAW, I must agree with DRS MATTH and CP about this particular production.  I will give him the eye shadow (since it's presumably stage makeup) - but the production is cut strangely and it's just not fun to watch.

Didn't care much for the Guenevere (Meg Bussart) or Lancelot (Richard Muenz) either.  I bought the video for my sister since she is a Harris fan, but I can't recommend it.

As for MacArthur Park - I always though it was kind of silly, but it was a great song to do for a swing choir.....

DR MattH. re: what you said about last night's LOST

SPOILERS

SPOILERS

The more I think about it the more I wonder if juliet really is good and trying to help the Losties.  Just because she had a meeting with Ben. And just because she asked him to send her supplies does not necessarily mean she cannot be trusted.

Her flashbacks were real.  And to me they suggest that she did not want to be there.  It's possible they edited it that way to make it seem like she was good till the end of last night's show. But if the flashbacks were what happened. Then to me she is double crossing ben.  Her friendship with jack seems real. And her distrust of ben seemed real.  And her wanting to get out seemed real.

You can probably burn just MP3s as data files to a CD and the boombox will recognize and pay them.
