Sorry, Ron, but someone leaving cakes out in the rain is just a silly song lyric to me.  I enjoyed reading the Wikipedia entry though and about how Webb could never get Harris to sing the right lyric.

Skip did see Angela Lansbury's benefit evening on Broadway of Dorothy Parker writings, which I believe was last fall.

Been very noisy with folks from the tax office.

Because we all know what a rowdy bunch those tax accountants are!   :)

Since some of us are tax lawyers, we are indeed a vociferous bunch.  :)

If the question is whether BK should be kempt or unkempt, I'm all for kempt.  (almost a Linda Richman reference)

I'm not sure which is worse...a vociferous gaggle of tax attorneys or of show queens.

So technically, was that Dorothy Parker evening her real return to Bway after 20 years, or does it not count since it was a one-night-only event?

"Lost"--

SPOILER

The main thing that's getting under my skin in the last couple of episodes is Jack's attitude.

His comment to Sayidh last night about Juliet:  "She's under my protection" seemed totally absurd to me.

Jack has no power -- no ability to utter magic words.  His ego seems excessively bloated.  I blame the writers, but am willing to give them enough leeway to let Jack sort through it.

A good sock in the jaw might be the ticket, though!

What I did enjoy immensely last night was Juliet's showdown with Sayidh and Sawyer (James).  I think she totally shriveled their scrotums with her knowledge of their pasts.

I have to agree with Pogue. MacArthur Park raises the definition of stupid song to a whole new level, no matter who is singing it. I've heard other versions and they all strike me as laughable.

I don't know, but I say...let's be lenient.  She's an icon!

Good Question. If I talk to her after the show on Wednesday (not) I'll ask her what she thinks  ;)

Well, Charles, I don't think I can take it, 'cause it took so long to bake it, and I may never have that recipe again....oh, no-o-o-o-o-o!

Dumb lyrics, but VERY fun to sing, especially when one is "partying."

One vociferous show queen is more than a match for a vociferous gaggle of tax attorneys.

I don't even wish to consider a vociferous gaggle of show queens.

Someone's seemingly obsessed with being "gagged" this morning.

So handsome,.... so guapo,.......so bronzed and studly !

I hate to just peek in and run, but i have a couple of morning things to do.

(hmmmmm... it sounds like I was visiting the Atlanta-Hartsfield airport conveniences.  That would be unseemly, unless I was monitoring dear Jose.  I'll blame him!! )
