DR JoseSPiano, if Patrick is detained and doesn't make it back in time, is it possible that Jim would conduct and you would play this afternoon?

Well, that almost happened.  Patrick was still not in at half hour.  And still not at fifteen.  Then at eight...

Jim and I were in standby mode just in case.

However, the worst part of the whole situation today was that Patrick had driven back to Westport.  -In fact, he had basically just woken up when he got the call to come back in.  And since parts of 95 and the Hudson Parkway were/are closed, he might be stranded up in Westport tonight.  (Along with some of the other company members.)  I really do hope he makes it back tonight.  So much for a day off.

For those who are interested, here's Merissa's set list:

Astonishing
A Summer In Ohio
Lion Tamer
You Can Always Count On Me
Is It Really Me?
Girls Just Want To Have Fun (The 80s Medley)
It's A Fine, Fine Line
If I Were A Bell
Wherever He Ain't/Time Heals Everything
Happily Ever After
For Good
Gimme Gimme
How Did We Come To This? (Encore)

That is a good set list.  Actually, it's also a really good audition book.  -Which I'm guessing is what she drew most of her material from for this review.  I'd say all that is missing is a classic Gershwin, Porter, Rodgers & Hart, etc., ballad.

This is about 5 miles south of my home

And all during the train ride from Westport to Mount Vernon, there were lots of "Oooh!  Look over here!",  "WOW!  Those cars are almost completely under water!", and "Yikes!".

Brothers & Sisters airs here at 7pm (this has nothing to do with the show).  And at the commercials they sometimes have this part where they dish about the actors.

Tonight they said something slightly disturbing. It went something like this, "rumor has it sally field is dating one of her co-stars (david something)".   Then they flashed a picture of the actor who plays her youngest child (justin).

OMG!  Is this true.  I guess she is 60+ and he plays younger than he is (i think there is a 30+ yr difference).  The part that sort of freaked me out is that he plays her son. Does anybody else find that weird?

Thanks Vixmom.  I was very worried about her when she got sick on the way home from AZ, but she is doing well now and had a wonderful time at her party

I say "Go Sally!"  and DR Jennifer, the operative word is "plays" her son.

MS MARISSA certainly has an attractive set.

I like MARY POPPINS and I am not sure ANY stage show could give me the same feeling.....but I have not seen it, so I shall not say....but I am reticent...Oh YES....I'm reticent.

My computer has started to make an annoying BEEP every few minutes.  I didn't do anything to make it start.  It makes the sound whether or not the speakers are on.

I have tried checking various set ups, but can find nothing amiss or amister.  I am baffled...OH YES....I am baffled.

Jrand - I still remember some of Johnny Carson's movie awards:

Best Performance by an Actress to "Grace" from The Sailor who Fell from Grace

and of course...

Raquel Welch for "Best Set"

(That latter joke was revived years later regarding the Tony for Best Set to Marin Mazzie in PASSION.)

Or was it Adrienne Barbeau for "Best Set"  - yes, i think that's what it was.

I'm not one to spread gossip, but

HERE'S THE DIRT

Sally Field and David Annable Dating?
Maybe he likes her, he really likes her.

Sally Field portrays a mother of five on the ABC drama 'Brothers & Sisters' and may be robbing her own cradle.

Field, 60, is said to be dating her 27-year-old on-screen son David Annable, according to a source on set.
The twice-divorced mother of three grown sons has reportedly been canoodling with Annable during filming breaks and already shares a plethora of inside jokes with him.

"Just because Sally is mature doesn't mean she still isn't sexy. Her youthful exuberance makes her seem like she's 30 years younger. She's still a very attractive woman," the source says.

Here's to you, Mrs. Robinson.

I'm sure Woody Allen is appalled!

I went to my first rodeo today.

Next year if I go again I can say that line Faye Dunaway as Joan Crawford says in "Mommie Dearest" addressing the men in the Pepsi boardroom: "Don't *** with me fellas. This ain't my first time at the rodeo."
