And it turns out the theatre has planned some in-between activities for us on Tuesday.  A cookout lunch, followed by a trip to the Dairy Queen in Fairfield!

:)

Sleep well dear DR Jose....and be your usual brilliant self tomorrow.  And have fun at the DQ..... Blizzard anyone?

DH Richard and I just had a light supper while watching Cars - it was cute, but I thought a bit too long.

I am so-o-o-o tired.

'night.

OH!

DR Jane (and I know you're getting ready for bed right now, but...) - When your relatives head to NYC - "when" not "if" - if they want to see Curtains, I'm pretty sure I could arrange house seats for you.  ;)

I was just reading about McDreamy's car race over the weekend.

Forget 'Grey's Anatomy,' superstar actor would rather be in Newton
http://www.desmoinesregister.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070421/SPORTS1401/704210371

I was enjoying the article until I realized...I'm older than McDreamy. That just doesn't seem right

What is it about "...and on the seventh day He rested" you do not understand?

Not a thing. I take one day off a week - Saturday.

Did I say I am now caught up on Grey's Anatomy?  In the past 2 weeks I've seen all of Season 1 and 2 and realized from the episode summaries on the web that I've seen almost all of Season 3.   I watched it a little to quickly, I dreamed last night that I was working at Seattle Grace with the whole crew.

TAR SPOILER!!!!!!!!!

Ok, this is more of a question. I'm assuming if Eric and Danielle had been last that they would have been eliminated because they were marked for elimination.  That's kind of goofy isn't it?  Could they have been eliminated in a nonelimination round?

Oh, the Grey's Anatomy page on ABC.com has a quiz to see which character you are.  I am Addison! That was a big surprise to me

I believe they could have.  As with this week's result, if the final team from a non-elimination round is the last team the following week, they are automatically eliminated.   ???

I was intrigued that ABC aired "Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone" in High Def.  Watched bits of it during "Heroes" commercials, but was totally stunned with the entire quidditch sequence.

That's very curious. It did not air in HD on the East Coast. In fact, ABC even put up a disclaimer that said the film was modified from its original frame and cropped to fit standard TVs. I turned it off a few seconds later.

I began my evening with MEMENTO on Blu-ray. It's an outstanding transfer to high definition disc, and the film has always been totally absorbing, one of those films that you want to watch when it's over to see things you missed (and it helps to watch several times since it happens for the most part in reverse order.)

Next, I put in TWO WEEKS WITH LOVE, one of my favorite unheralded MGM musicals. It's so charming, I love the music, and the cast couldn't be better. I didn't quite finish it (didn't get to the big "My Hero" dream sequence), but I will tomorrow.

I watched MEMENTO several times. I love to go back and pick up things I missed.

This was probably my fifth time seeing it between theaters and various DVDs, and I never realized until tonight that Jorja Fox (one of the co-stars on CSI) plays Guy Pearce's murdered wife.

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES had a fun episode with various secrets coming out in the open. The episode started just a bit slow for me but picked up and was thoroughly entertaining by the time it ended.

I've noticed quite a few episodes this season had me discontented early on and later won me over completely.

I finished my evening with the rerun of BROTHERS & SISTERS. I loved the episode that introduced Jason Lewis as the soap opera star who slowly began to fall for Kevin, and this was that episode. They had a very rocky six episodes or so, but I'd love to see all of them again to chart the course of that relationship.

Anyway, I'll have to catch them this summer since it appears the show goes back to fresh episodes starting next week for the rest of the season.

As you know, the last birth did not have a happy end - the baby birds finally took flight and flew right into the pool.

i had a similar experience. A nest was built in my chimney and the babies fell into the grate. I dumped them into a wicker basket, carried it back to the roof and wedged it into the chimney top. I wired an umbrella to a metal pole that used to hold the TV antenna to protect them from the elements. So they were back in as much as the same situation as I could manage,

The wildlife center said I needed to feed them them in case their mother didn't come back, so for several weeks I dug up worms and mixed them in the blender with raw egg yolk. (This is what the nature center recommended.) They let me feed them, so 5 or 6 times a day I climbed the ladder and fed them, until one day I saw the mother bird and some droppings and knew they were probably fine.

I never saw them fledge, but one day they were just gone. The following summer, I found that some of them had landed on the part of the roof I had recently tarred. I hope one or two of them made it, especially after all that work!

I never used the blender pitcher again, BTW.

As they said on the bus tour of Pittsburgh in reference to the Heinz something or other, i got a lot of ketching up to do.  I've skimmed the past few days, but will have to take the time to savor and fully appreciate it all.

The Omni William Penn Hotel was just too amazingly posh for words, and for their weekend special rate, a real deal.

In deference to Edisaurus and her pinko-pals artistic associates maybe we should say "National Socialist".

Yes, considering my partner is basically a socialist and Jewish, I don't think he would like to be included in this "party".
