FOR JEWISH BOYS WHO HAVE CONSIDERED THE WESTIN WHEN THE OMNI IS SO CHEAP - that'll be the title of my home movies of Pittsburgh (if I had taken them)

Like I mentioned before, I've always loved Omni Hotels.  Did you sign up for their Select Guest program?  The regular perks are even nice.

*And if you want a really nice splurge, I highly recommend the Omni Berkshire Place on the East Side.  Very, very nice.  And if no one happens to be in them at the time, sometimes they'll give you a peek at the full-floor suites.  The Rodgers & Hammerstein suite is truly luxe.

**And some of their weekend rates in the summer and winter (January) are pretty comparable with some of the midtown mainstays.

Almost.  -How's that for an answer?   ;)

Do you know what key you would need it in?

From www.omnihotels.com:

Rodgers & Hammerstein Suite: Features 1,000 square feet of living space, including a walk-out, wrap-around terrace, “presidential” work desk, decorative fireplace and additional half-bath and spa tub.

Now that's nice!  :)

OH!

And you get milk and cookies when they turn down your bed.  Or you could even request that they deliver them closer to your actual bed time.  Or both.  ;)

-At least I think they still do that for Select Guest members.

...And if I'm not in Australia or somewhere else that weekend, I've been thinking of getting a room there for my birthday weekend.  And the rate, if I book now, ain't bad either.

And I wish, there is that "minor" problem of not having a drivers license anymore.

If his old license is still valid, that is a minor problem; if it has been expired, that is a major problem.

DR Sandra - Where did you get the Cheesecake from?  And what kind?

It's from The Cheesecake Factory and it's chocolate peanut butter cookie dough cheesecake. Yum!

I tried deciding what to write about THE GLORIOUS ONES, other than the fact that I thought it was gripping pretty much from start to finish, with resonance to modern audiences while remaining true to its story's roots in the Commedia del'Arte (sp?), but couldn't figure out what details would not be spoilers for people who will see it.  So many lovely twists and turns, the critics are sure to spoil great moments just by description, but let me just say that i had a grand time, dare I say it a glorious work.

Is this the new musical by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty??  I can't wait for this!  I found a clip of Patti LuPone singing the song "I Was Here" on YouTube and had the song going through my head for a week and a half...literally!  And then I found that the song is in "The Ahrens & Flaherty Songbook," which was published in 2001!  I want to hear the rest of the score. :D

I got a great CD today, but I want to finish it before writing about it.  I never think much of new CDs in terms of production values, but this thing is the real deal.
