Streisand is pretty good on roller skates...

Perhaps she'll consent to audition for one of the mer-person slots?

Joan sang through her show in my first pass order, and everything basically worked fine.  I think there's one potential problem in act two, but act one felt very good.  I won't make any further changes until we're up on our feet.

They misspelled the name of dear friend Glenn Slater again, but I'm sure Glenn is used to it.

With such a name he should audition for Little Mermaid! ;)

Media report (amended) - the Netflix wrappers contained:

The Last King of Scotland, Letters from Iwo Jima, and The Illusionist, which we're going to watch tonight.

In my CD player right now:  the York Theatre Company recording of Summer of '42[/b].  I've only listened to the first half of the first disc, but so far, it's pretty good. :)

A Camp Classic in the Making?

Entertainment Weekly says of series debut of The Lair, set for Friday 6/1 at 8:00 PM EST:

"Some series can [and should] be judged by their credits.  Written by Fred Olsen Ray ["Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers"], and costarring erstwhile adult-film actor Colton Ford, this gay vampire thriller features groaners like a randy club bouncer declaring "I'm also the service manager!", and a gratuitous 71-second shower scene where newspaper reporter Thom [David Moretti] scrubs his washboard abs till they gleam.  Hard work.  No wonder the dude takes a nap after his boyfriend becomes the possible victim of a killer praying on chiseled, enthusiastically groomed men.  D-.

But doesn't THE LAIR sound like intentional camp, though?

First 14 CDs shall be posted within the hour. (They're not really cleared from the Post Office until Monday but there will be no waiting today). Filling in those customs declarations for each one.    EEEEEEEEEEEEK
I've run out of suitable envelopes!
