re my question of two weeks ago.

The march for the Peter Stuyvesant Cigarette commercial was composed by R Busby.

I've just received 2 versions on 45 rpm discs from Germany.

He disappeared from HHW and his personal blog about the time of the recent HHW West Coast gathering.  And nary a word anywhere unitl a short entry in his personal blog last week, so he must still be alive.  But he hasn't been seen round these parts.

Good evening all....

and a "foodie" question for dear Jose --  I just read about a relatively new place in (I think) either the west Village or Chelsea area, called "BLT Burgers."  It said it was associated with the "BLT group" and is supposed to have pretty tasty stuff.

Have you ever tried it? Or has Elmo, or Fred, or Ben??  Is it worth going to, or is it just hype?

Thank you all, from those of us deprived out here in the desert!  :)

Hi all, this is going to have to be quick because it's already past my bed time but I wanted to stop by.

I am so tired.  I wish I could have taken a few weeks off before going back to work.  I'm starting to come down from all of the events and it just seems like there is no rest for the wicked.  I just hope I don't crash and burn.  I can't tell you how much I wish this was Friday.

I just thank God this is a 4 day week.  I honestly don't think I could have done a 5 day.

Hugs and vibes to all who need them.

Laters.

I shall now be on my way to a music rehearsal.  Heaven help me, and I'm capping it at two hours, baby.

Well...  I have been to BLT Burger a couple of times.  It's right at the top of the West Village, sort of.  But, yes, it is part of the Laurent Tourondel's restaurant empire here in NYC.  -I have yet to try to the recently overhauled BLT Steak.

It's a good burger.  However, there are plenty of good burger places in NYC right now, in all price ranges.  -Although, I believe BLT Burger is the only casual burger place to carry a Kobe Beef Burger - which I think costs around $65!  In any case...

It's a good burger, but the sides and specialty drinks really make the meal there.  The "spiked shakes" are quite tasty - and sneakily lethal.

However, I'd also recommend:

brgr
*The baked-to-order - well, more like rewarmed-to-order - chocolate chip cookies are a sinful and cheap dessert.

Burger Joint
*Alas, the beloved Burger Joint with the $1.00 burgers in the Village is no more.

Shake Shack
*Go Danny Meyer!  Although, the lines here can be a bit ridiculously long at times.  -Just check out the Shack Cam on their website.

Stand
I can't seem to find a website for it.  But there's a brief description of it here courtesy of the one of the NY Times food blogs: Double Burger, Part I.  A good burger, although, I find the pricing of the shakes a bit high, but they do have some great flavors.

Plus, many, many other options. ;)

Oh... And back to burgers one more time... Although, I have been able to detect some differences between burgers, I have to admit a burger is a burger is a burger.

For a great, good ole greasy-spoon rendition, there's always Big Nick's on the Upper West Side, and Island Burgers & Shakes in Hell's Kitchen.  *And Island Burger's "Chicken Churascos" are a great white-meat option too!

I have received OFFICIAL NOTICE via U.S. Mail that Pat Haines, Sales Representative of Clearwater, FL, is trying to contact me about my $2,100,000.0 Sweepstakes ID.  She must hear from me at the toll free number by 6/14/07 at 11:59 PM, or my ID will expire.

I was worried about that...

Hmm...

Well, I guess it's a good sign that I actually get a little sick to my stomach each time I see the commercial for KFC's new mashed-potato-chicken-corn-bowl-thingy.  :-\

Sounds like u had a great time, DR DakotaCelt.

Though I did a double-take when I thought I read "...Another little shop freshly made of German Wurst."

Is the trademark for Best Wurst already taken?

And then there is vixmom, who will not respond to e-mails, and who certainly hasn't logged onto this site in days.  She is cruisin' for a Bruce'n, so if anyone is in touch with her, just pass on a bitch-slap and a suggestion that she actually read her e-mail.

I do not have access to personal emails from work... at home I have to share the computer with 2 other people, one of whom needs it for school assignments and one of whom needs it for work purposes which puts me at #3 in line

Well, Simon Pegg is much cuter than that photo, and if you see him in Hot Fuzz, he's pretty dang hunky and kicks a$$. He's almost as hunky as MBarnum, but his petunias aren't as pretty!
