Now, I'm going to head down, read a little bit, and then start preparing lunch.

BK:

Need to make a correction in your notes

Yearbook: The High School Musical is issued by Dramatic Publishing and not Samuel French

Created by Michael Michetti. Musical Coordinator Glenn Mehrbach. Book by Darcy Rice. Music and lyrics by:D.Bergen,C.Bloom,J.Covell,Babbie Green,Bruce Kimmel,Glenn Merbach,Michael Michetti,David Pomeranz,Irv Rubinsky,Russelle,M.Savage,H.Schock,B.Shucker
Cast: 8m., 14w. Yearbook is a new musical about high school students today. Based on interviews with nearly 100 students, Yearbook presents, through scenes and songs, a year in the life of a group of high school students in the '90s. Incorporating both comedy and drama, the portrait of contemporary youth that emerges is a realistic, yet ultimately positive, look at today's teenagers. The score for Yearbook includes contributions from a dozen composers and lyricists with extensive credits in popular music, musical theatre, film and television. Consequently, the score reflects an exciting range of musical styles, from musical theatre to alternative rock. Staging for Yearbook can be as simple or complex as you choose, and the cast size can be reduced to as few as 18 or increased with a large chorus to include as many performers as you'd like. There are some non-singing roles. This fresh joyous musical celebration was performed at the International Thespian Festival to great acclaim. Flexible staging.

Our Father's Day celebration at church is that the children make root beer floats for the dads and everyone after the service.

That could almost lead me back to going to church!

I loved DEVIL IN THE WHITE CITY.

Me, too! And I will see if I can find out the origins of the name on The Closer.

Now *that* would be a good trivia question!

Kimlet = Someone who came to this site because of and/or who adores Bruce Kimmel.  -Although, "adores" may be the wrong word.  ;)

That would make me a Kimlet, and yes, Mr. Kimmel *is* adorable.

OK, fresh peaches have been sliced and sugared to be served later for dessert over angel food cake.  Steaks have been purchased, along with bacon to wrap around them, potatoes to bake, and green beans.  I'm off to visit a bit more with my sister before she heads home to Michigan and will be probably be E & T until after our Father's Day celebration.

Bye for now!

Good Afternoon!

Well, I'm all set to head in for today's matinee.  I need to make a few stops along the way - including Kinko's :-\ to copy the Key 2 "practice book" - and then we'll see where the rest of the day takes me.  *I may try to snag a ticket to the final "Musicals in Mufti" presentation of It's A Bird! It's A Plane! It's Superman! tonight.  -Which stars the soon-to-be-new-Sonny in Xanadu, Cheyenne Jackson.

As always, we'll see.

Jose, thank you for the picture of the actors from the original CHORUS LINE; and the news regarding Mr. Walsh's passing.  However, I believe the actor (third from the left) is Winston DeWitt Hemsley, not Winston Hemsley DeWitt.

Thank you, DR TCB.  -I pulled that from achorusline.org - the website for the ACL family.  -And the EXTENDED family too!  :)  I'll check in with Baayork later to see about getting the name in the right order.

Was Brandt Edwards in the original ACL?  I knew he had been in 42nd Street; he was in that when I knew him in the 1980's.

I only know that rather obscure fact because I saw him as Barnaby Tucker in the Pearl Bailey production of HELLO, DOLLY! on Broadway in 1969.  What is really scary is that I still remember his name 38 years later!

I guess it was because it was the first show I ever saw on Broadway, that I still remember so much about seeing HELLO, DOLLY!.   I remember that it was at the St. James Theatre, I remember every number and set, and, most of all, I remember Pearlie Mae's third act, after the Curtain Call; when she came out and entertained the audience with stories and songs for almost a half hour.  Wow, what a night!

So, what live performance (play, musical, concert, ice capade) do you remember, above all others?  For any reason:  The Best, The Worst, The Most Unusual?

Oh yeah---we put that up last week. It's from the premiere episode.

It's just annoying that I get a message that these clips won't play but they don't give you any options!

I realized after I posted it was previews for the upcoming show, I could have just said that.  It was a good opening :), sad & funny.

Remember, while my laptop is new the quality isn't great.  I should have watched the clip from Keith's computer, except he was playing his newest computer game.

And speaking of Brenda and her sweets, every time in this set that she finally gives in to temptation and eats something sweet, her acting is SO superbly hilarious, it just tickles me greatly. That look of ecstasy, pure pleasure like an addict getting a fix is just hysterical to me.

I agree, and can completely identify.  I have had far too many embarrassing comments directed my way while enjoying a superbly delicious treat.
