Monday evening greetings! Another long day at the ALA conference. I had fundraising sessions 10:30-12 and 1:30-3 and managed to complete the exhibit hall in between. The second session was Fabulous - wish I could go back and implement it within my library - fat chance. Had another surprise chat with one of my best grad school friends before going to the awards ceremony to clap for my coworker. I'm glad I did that, because no one else from our library system bothered to show up

DH Richard and I took the Metro back here to Crystal City and rested for a bit before walking up the block to Legal Sea Food for a nice dinner - I had the chopped Greek salad and an appetizer portion of fried clams - perfect.
I'm about to turn in for the night, because I have to be at the Foundation Center-Washington by 9am tomorrow. When that meeting ends at noon, the business portion of this trip will be over and I can shift into vacation mode.
