DR Jeanne - you asked last night if I'd read any Rosamunde Pilcher books.  Yes, The Shell Seekers and maybe some others.  If you like her books, you might also like Maeve Binchy and Belva Plain.

Dolores Hitchens, under the name D. B. Olsen wrote a number of Cat mystery books in the 40s that are supposed to be quite good! Here is an example of one (which is sadly not part of my collection).

You know over the years I kind of grew fond of Tammy Faye... :-\

...but she scared the bejesus out of me when I was a kid and first came across her on that show she had with her randy hubby. Maybe that is why I am an atheist today?!

Maybe freeze-drying?  That's what they do to dry books out after a library has a flood.
