I came home to check on Callie who had been acting funny last night and this morning. The poor thing was straining and strainging trying to poop...she was clearly in pain so I took her right to the vet. Turns out her old problem is back. It looks like she's imacted again. Like she was 2 1/2 years ago. So she's in the hospital so they can see if they can soften things up. Due to her malformed bone structure it took them 9 days in the hospital last time. I'm really hoping it isn't that bad now. They were planning to sedate her and will call me later today. Poor thing. We've done the meds twice a day every day for 2 1/2 years and it worked up until now. I'm really worried what we will have to do next. She's only 5 years old.

Try looking in the folders just below and to the right (or left) of where your recycle bin used to be. I wouldn't think you could move the recycle bin into a folder...but maybe you can...

DR Jose, i want honey cake. I was actually thinking of making one. But alas i did not. We had a big New Year's dinner. I made meatballs, mashed potatoes, mashed turnip, and peanut butter chocolate squares. My mom made bean and barley soup, apple cake, and brisket. And everybody else just came and ate.

It was very yummy!

Things are going really well at the Starfighter rehearsals. We did two run throughs of Act 1 yesterday. The hardest part is trying to stage and block around one or another actor who is not there. Seems someone is always out - usually at an audition. I must say, that's one scary concept for a producer. I cringe inside each time someone has to leave early or come late to go to an audition. I know this is what they constantly do. But the thought that someone could pull out of the show at any time . . .

They are all so talented, and I hope they all get amazing jobs . . . right after Starfighter is over!

Due to the delays, beyond his control, getting his first applications sent, he is working very hard to send all the secondary applications out as quickly as possible. So far he hasn’t received secondaries from 5 of the schools he applied to. Hopefully they are slow & haven’t crossed him off their list.

And the audience member in me is getting very excited that NYMF is about to start. I LOVE going to NYMF shows. While I know I can't go to as many this year as I usually do, I've been busily mapping out a potential NYMF schedule, and hoping that I'll be able to make it to the majority of the shows I pick out.

I stayed out of the rehearsal studio today, because it was a shortened day due to the holiday, and I needed to concentrate on some other stuff. Like ticket sales. Press releases. Ticket sales. Sets and Props issues. Ticket sales. Publicity materials. Ticket sales.

I have just returned from my friend George's service. It was very nice and was held at a chapel in the old Hollywood district of Portland.

There was one of those after the funeral things at someone's home in Lake Oswego. George's friend Jim wanted me to attend and I made an effort...driving all the way over to Lake Oswego...but I got lost and was feeling sick to my stomach and stressed...saw a sign with an arrow that said I-205 and headed for the freeway and then home.

Jim lives in Keizer, which is near Salem. I gave him my phone number and so I think we will get together for lunch sometime and talk about George and stuff.

Right now I am exhausted and am ready to hit the bed...but it isn't even 7pm yet.

Thanks MBarnum, me too. I'm just really hoping that everything passes tomorrow. I'm more hopeful than I was the last episode. She has been very healthy up until the past few days. The fact she got very mad when the assistant picked her up was a good sign. Last time she just laid there limp and didn't fight at all. She's definitely feisty. That gives me a lot of hope.
