I may watch the Teddington films, DR RLP.....or some of them....

Nice collection there, DR SINGDAW....

Miss Blue Moon is not a social dog.  She demands ALL of the attention ALL of the time....so a play date might be difficult.

Singdaw, you have much higher percentages than me....

My highest was Giorgio Moroder and Emma Watson at 62% and 60% respectively

I guess they basically figured that once they told me that singdaw IS Larry King, they had to throw me a consolation prize...  :)

Thanks to all HHW'ers for their support of Amanda in the Flyer Idol writing contest.

She was eliminated this week.

Ms April McCarty has several churches voting for her - they collect the paper ballots from across the county, count them out and put in just enough for her to win.

She has been chasing Amanda for several weeks.

HOWEVER - the editor told Amanda that the staff has been voting for HER and that she will probably receive some freelance work during the year...they thought her articles were best.

Amanda says "thanks!"

My Comcast (made by Motorola, I think) doesn't give me an option to "Save to VHS" or DVD.  That's not fair! :P I have my VCR hooked up to it and what I have to do is play the show in its entirety and record it manually.

That is how it works with mine as well, George.

That is too bad, JRand.  I really did enjoy what she wrote.  It's great that they told her that they liked it, also.

Yes, I'm really disappointed about Amanda.  I guess I didn't understand how it worked.  I thought they simply eliminated the lowest vote getter each week.  I figured Amanda was safe!

At least she knows that she has the talent on merit, if not the popular vote.

I'm going to be most errant and truant tomorrow.

I'm leaving my house very early for...Astoria, Queens!

I'm taking a tour of the Steinway piano factory, and it's going to be a great day!

Thanks, HHW'ers.  Amanda will be pleased to hear your comments.

DR SINGDAW is visiting the House of Keys.

Emmaline and RubberBones - wonder how long it will be before Disney makes a Broadway musical out of it?

I wonder if Steinway just paints on the black keys - as on Schroeder's piano.

I think DR Jose is now able to play the black keys.  He has practised a lot lately.

So, all hell will be breaking loose. As executor, I just sent a letter that will put their panties in a bunch.  Should be interesting.

Just be glad Mr MacBeth was not named co-executer.

Michael S, Great news to have you back & almost completely mended.  I'm very sorry you won't get your trip to Europe, I know how disappointingly that must be.

Today, after lunch out with best friend John and a trip to the post office and drug store, I will start THE INTRUDER, a Roger Corman-produced social picture with William Shatner in the lead role of a bigot. This was when Shatner was a very serious actor, before he achieved icon status as Captain Kirk or kidded his image in other projects.

I still remember seeing him as a psychotic killer on an episode of THE FUGITIVE which I found absolutely riveting.

They had television before STAR TREK?   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Satin slips up on you....or maybe that's Satan.

I still remember, when I was about ten, I came home from the Saturday afternoon movies; and I announced that the next week's matinee was going to be Satin Never Sleeps.

George, DR Sandra says to order some Philip Ardagh.

Our library already has 15 Philip Ardagh titles...actually, they only have 10 different titles.  Five of the listings are for the talking book editions. :)
