DR edisaurus - Thanks for the book "recommendation"!  I believe I may pick up a copy of your friend's book for my nephew.

DR Ginny - Is it possible that your locality is having extra leaf collection days right now?  Or maybe you just have weird thieves.  ;)

We thought of that possibility (the extra collection times), but would they be between 6:30 and 7:30 on a Saturday evening?  The second possibility is far more likely.

DR Elmore and I should have realized that someone might just have been looking for set-dressing items for Look Homeward, Angel  ;)

DR CILLA LIZ - they might call you back to try to persuade you.

My guess is they wouldn't call you back if you were a supporter.  8)

One would think, but last election cycle I was one of the callers. They call their supporters if the candidate is coming to town, if the candidate isn't coming to town, to see if they want to volunteer, ad nausem.  The calls have become fewer since I started telling them my preference and that no, I wouldn't consider your candidate as number 2

And, now, for the "short versions":

My 3-night Bahamian Cruise:  :)

My 1-day day at Disneyworld:  :)

;)

I took a bunch of pics, and I just need to pick as well as resize them for posting.

I've been enjoying the Donmar production of "Company" since it was aired on TV in the UK.

The voice of Bobby was "unusual" enough for me to NOT buy the CD. I do however like the performance and the voice does not irritate me when I watch the show.

I don't think I would like a CD recording, but the video is interesting...EXCEPT for the costumes.....  :P  and Marta  :P :P :P :P

Could "worked with" possibly be...

A euphemism?

Oohhh...  I also just received a e-mail from my favorite store, Pour.  They'll be joining the whole "Black Friday" madness with a storewide sale this coming weekend on all their bottles.  Hmm....

Jose did you know there is a discount at all, (I think it's all) the restaurants in the theater district due to the strike?

From what I've read, the Jujamcyn's will not allow Local One to work the Grinch so it will remain closed.

But let us not forget that Local One struck the Grinch (the SHOW), receiving much bad publicity for it.  I find it odd that they "suddenly" reversed themselves.  I think they knew that the Jujamcyns would not allow them to work the show, and hoped that the League would then be the butt of the bad publicity.  I think both sides are game players, but I think Local One is the worse of the two.  And it's now pretty much being reported that the League did not, in fact, walk away from yesterday's negotiations first - there was apparently some sort of rift between the head of IATSE (who wanted the union to accept what had been hammered out) and the head of Local One, who, from all reports, is an arrogant and disruptive person.  He refused to accept and walked out.

Well I had a hot beef sandwich for lunch. MMMMM very tasty, then I wanted a nap.  But I'm here at the office.   This week is nice here. I have a brief (maybe 1 -1 1/2 hour) bench trial on an assault case tomorrow morning.  I have a chance to win it. I think there are problems with the ID that the prosecutor doesn't realize, but it could go either way.

And that's it for the week.   I love to work when the rest of the world goes on vacation.  I have lots of research I can do, get the office books in order, send out statements all that fun stuff without countless interruptions.

In response to Jose's:

Quote
As for the rest of the "Fruity Morsels"...

As for "HHW Dear Partners".... Just how many "HHW Widows and Widowers" do we have on this here site? or not on the site as it were?

DR Ben replied:

Ant and Me
Laura and her husband
Ginny and Richard
David (Singdaw) and his husband
Miss Karen and her spouse
Fred and Skip
Matthew and his partner
Elan and his wife (and child)

Am I missing anyone

Aren't the above actually "Dear Partners" currently alive & kicking?  Or did I misunderstand what Jose meant by "Widows/Widowers"?

Ron, are you feeling better?

You understood correctly, Ben just began a new train of thought.  I suppose because he couldn't think of any widows or widowers.
