Is the councilwoman a Democrat or Republican?  I'm not sure which the joke was making fun of.

I presume the original teller of the joke was making fun of Democrats; the retelling of the the posting is making fun of Republicans.

It's all a Scientology plot!

Good Evening!

Well... At this point, I blame the paint fumes.  We've had to crack our windows in order to help "alleviate" them.  :-\

Uh-oh -- my own mini frenzy -- looks like everyone is in post-frenzy lurking mode today ...

Well, Sis, some of us are rather tired from all that frenzying we did yesterday.

Sounds like a good reason to take off and go get a Levain cookie to help clear your head... (not that any reason is really needed to go get a cookie, but I'm just saying...)

Go figure department.

I ordered the new Harry Potter DVD fom Amazon; since I am a cheap-skate I added the David Burnham CD to get my total over $25 to qualify for the free (but slower) shipping.

Well Amazon cares not a wit that I opted for free but slower, the sent me an Email saying the stuff was on it's way - and the release date isn't until Tuesday!

I always use that option. sometimes it takes 10 days to reach me; sometimes I get it much sooner. I think this helps them to balance the peaks and valleys of their business.

Speaking of fainting sofas, where or where has DR MusicGuy gone?  BK said yesterday that he had talked with him and that he'll back?  Where did he go?

And what about Dan the Man.. and Francois ...

Now that they're no longer a couple they seem to be leading other lives.  They came to "The Brain," I believe, but I didn't see them.

Well, I actually did make a stop at Levain earlier while I was out.  Today is Bill's birthday.  And who is Bill?  Why he's the boyfriend of my roommate, Jim.  Bill is not much of a cake person, but he does love those Levain cookies, so I bought him a small box as his cake/present.  He's working the overnight shift tonight at the hospital - yes, he's a doctor - and he took the box of cookies with him.  Smart man!

The throwing-out-clutter project (about four large garbage bags worth) has made only about two bags' worth of a dent.  But it has helped a little.

I also stopped into Jacques Torres to finally sample a treat or two.  Well, I decided to give their Chocolate Chip Cookie a try - especially since they had warm(!) ones available.  It's a good cookie, but it doesn't displace Levain's creations as my top pick.  -However, it is cheaper than Levain, so, I guess that's the trade-off.

Wonder of JMK will post a "remembrance" of Raul Seixas?

OK, I'm officially stumped.   ???  (Seixas comes a little after the Brasilian music I usually listen to, but I have no clue what you're referring to).

We've had to crack our windows....

Is that a euphemism for "mooning" out your windows?

This is sort of Zen, DRLaura....he was in your car but he might not really have been there.  And you were ttook aking him to the airport where he might never have arrived to catch a plane that might never have existed.  And now he might be there but he might never have gone.  With all of that in mind, he didn't really need a ride to the airport since wherever he is right now is more a state of mind than a tangible location.

I appreciate this information.  It puts things into perspective.
