JOURNEYMAN was wonderful tonight. And there's a new episode next week! Hooray!
Either I'm getting used to it, or the writing has make the episodes easier to follow.

I am also growing quite attached to "Women's Murder Club".

Not to gloat, but it's like summer here!

Oh, I'm not jealous about that at all. I don't mind the snow, just don't want the ice. I happen to like heat and electricity

thanks TD (in Hindi, no less), Vixmom, and Cillilz for the superb Birthday wishes!

And Edi, I am most appreciative of the wishes from Ganesh, my favorite Hindi god (you really must see one of the old films made about him...they are great!)

I got an email from my website contact page from someone who was a friend back during my first 2 years in college.  I haven't heard from her in ...man...maybe 28 years give or take a year or two. I emailed back and haven't heard anything else yet.  I love blasts from the past

Had a wonderful afternoon at my buddy Jim's house.

We watched the old 1986 TV movie CHRISTMAS EVE starring Loretta Young, which is one of Jim's favorite holiday films...and then he fixed a delicious dinner of salmon  smothered in carmalized onions, mashed potatoes, brocolli, and for desert...chocolate brownies! Yummy!

Hmm... I'm starting to look at flights back to VA for Christmas.  Right now, my last day of work is next Tuesday, the 18th, and then I don't have anything else booked until January 5th.  I'm just trying to decide whether or not I want to be in NYC for New Year's Eve.  However, since Christmas (and New Year's) falls on a Tuesday, I'm also toying with heading somewhere else for a few days midweek.  We shall see.

Ganesh is my favorite, too---I have a very nice statue of him on my desk!

I'll post it when I have a chance to post party pix!

Right now the fullfillment house is busy---Greg walked in and said "It looks like a factory in here"!

And, the people at my old job think they are so overworked they can't take anything right now. So, lol, I'm getting an extradition hearing tomorrow.  Those hearings take a total of an hour or less, including meeting with the client and walking to the courthouse (unless they are contested, and they rarely are) and you're done with the case. I have to admit I love that they had to call me to do this. It will take longer to do the paperwork to get paid than it will to do the case, but I told them I'm happy to do this stuff for them. I could do these hearings in my sleep

The writing has gotten clearer for JOURNEYMAN. The flashback story now occurs in order rather than jumping to disparate periods of time. And the emotions for the characters involved in Dan's journeys are now shared because his family all knows the truth.

Two different numbers.

Once again my attempt at scintillating humor fails to find ts audience.

Greg and I found it most amusing that at bk's birthday party, since I had labored over editing The Brain DVD, I was expecting to meet people involved with the show---David Wechter, Kevin Spirtas, etc.

Instead, I  was the date of "Oh-crap-you-want-my-name", as bk reenacted the Brain tap scene that Greg participated in. Too funny!

Yes, but that was a murder trial. This is a request to have the person taken to South Dakota, which is about 5 miles from the courthouse.  The only real issue is whether this is the person named in the warrant. Not too much to fight about.

I better get to sleep. The hearing is at 9:00 AM and if we get 3-4 more inches of snow I'll be out clearing it at 6:30 or 7:00 AM.   Ok, I'll admit it...I have a blast pushing my little snowblower.

You're going to blast away with a snow blower at 6:30 AM?

Hope the neighbors don't have shotguns.

LOL, My neighbors will be up doing the same thing.  I probably won't get out there until 7:00 or even 7:30, but that will be cutting it close.

And one for Cil,

Dec. 9: An ice-covered downed tree covers a pickup truck in Joplin, MO. An ice storm downed trees and power lines in southwest Missouri and southeast Kansas leaving many residents without power.
