I ended up getting one of my favorite barbers.
Is his name Sweeney?I guess not - you're here to tell us about it!
I was going for an image.
Jane - I didn't have the dolls when I was young, but early in our marriage Richard's mother was on quite a doll-making kick. Here are the Raggedy Ann & Andy and the Amish doll she made for me. They are riding on Rob's childhood rocking horse, next to the stairway to our second floor.
I want to be in a panto.
"Sweeney Todd's" moral ambiguity and complex music led to the creation of what filmmakers say is a new genre....It's as entertaining, artistic and efficient as anyone could make a "Sweeney Todd" film that might appeal to a broad swath of moviegoers. But it doesn't make the work easier to perform and interpret. For one thing, putting a made-up Depp in Victorian London -- in whiteface, decaying eyes and crazed hair with a skunk-like stripe -- wasn't enough to help the actor find his tortured alter-ego. "Because Sweeney is such an internal character, one of the only times you get a chance to know what he's feeling is through song -- it's his internal monologue," Depp said....
I did end up getting the Sweeney coffee table book at my local Borders, but only after I had to have one of the Customer Service reps did through the bowels of their vault for 10 minutes. Honestly! They're only depriving themselves of more sales.
One of the best things about birthdays here, are MBarnum's birthday cards. The Raggedy Ann & Andy one is adorable. I never had one of the dolls. Who here did?
My mother tossed them both into the fireplace when she decided I was too old for them.
I haven't cracked open the book, yet, as I'm considering that as Mum's Christmas present to me. . .
As you can tell, I'm not totally incapacitated!
