I think I neglected to compliment DR Ben on his and Ant's holiday decorations.  Very nice!

I did as well-sorry Ben.

Thank you for sharing them :)

Have to love Ben and Ant's door decoration. I hope the neighbours appreciate it.

It is very clever :)  I can't imagine the neighbor's not appreciating it.

MBarnum, isn't the rate Courts gets at the Hilton ($109) better than anything else?

The problem is that they will only give me that rate on the 14, 15, and 16th....but I am coming into town on the 10th. So need to locate a place for the first part of the week...thought I would find someplace funky and fun to stay.

I did spot some interesting hotels in the Glendale area...and I have never been there before.

Jrand, you don't like Susan Sarandon?  As an actress or because of her personal beliefs?  Personally, she is one of the sweetest actresses I have ever met.

We had fun today. Besides seeing Santa (shhh, he's actually a friend of Anthony's). When we got to SantaLand we had to whisper sotto voce to the elf that we wanted to see a special Santa. Our wish was granted and we were taken to David's, oops, I mean Santa's, workshop. The technology is amazing. The picture looks great and it took minutes to complete. I remember when you had your picture taken and then waited a couple of weeks if not longer for them to be mailed to you. Ahh, the modern world.

After a visit with Santa we walked over to Lord and Taylor's and looked at their windows. The theme is Christmas in different lands. We then came home for lunch and a nap (like good kids). We had chicken noodle soup with crackers and I cut a kiwi in half, some for Ant and some for me.

Why should TCB be playing dead?

I do believe he begs and rolls over but I thought that was the extent of his training.

Jane, the next time you're in town I would love to show you the Dakota, although you won't see the entire building from Central Park any more due to the large growth of trees since 1890   ;)

Now that volunteer time is over we are relaxing and enjoying our time together. I still have to "wash the bowl" every morning but it's done in the home environment and not the office kitchen and I have to be more quiet due to a certain sleeper in the bedroom.

I finally made some headway on this song - it's been like beating a dead horse.  I wanted to cut it, but the author thinks it's great and wants it in.  I'd fixed the music several days ago, which was a huge deal, but that works fine now.  But his lyric is unfocused and, more importantly, unfunny, which is not good for a comedy song.  It's a Secret Serviceman's lament for the good old days of J. Edgar Hoover, kind of like Those Were The Good Old Days from Damn Yankees.   Today, I finally got about half of it where it's now mildly amusing, which is 500% better than it was in that regard.

Besides hating and persecuting Jews, Blacks, and Gays, and bugging people's phones and doing smear campaigns, what are a couple of other infamous Hooverisms?

Does Ant need to be quiet too when he washes his bowl?
