And I need to get up early tomorrow. Der Brucer has "conveniently" left some of the X-mas shopping until the last moment, and insists on my going with him... before my shift at work.

He's going to find that I can set my alarm clock pretty danged early when I want to!

Has anyone ever checked out whitepages.com. I used it to get the zip code for a friend of mine. It brought up not only her name, address, and phone number; but it also gave her age.

I have an unlisted phone number, but for me it still brought up my name, address (with the correct apartment number), and my age. True, it made me a year younger than I am, but I still think that is kind of scary. The reason I had an unlisted number was so that when I was working as a Welfare worker, none of my clients would know my phone number or my address. Now the only secret is my phone number. Creepy!

Well, it now appears that her younger sister, and my god-daughter, Emily, has followed suit in that regards. Although, Emily did walk up to me and give me one of the ornaments she took off the Christmas tree. Of course, when I tried to give her a hug to thank her, she ran off to her Daddy.

I am not sure what my favorite Bond movies are as it has been many, many, many years since I have seen one. But for me Sean Connery IS James Bond. Gosh, that man would have me at "Hello."

George Lazenby is my # two Bond. The rest don't even factor into the equation for me.

I shall now relax with some 1930s Rin Tin Tin movies..right now I am watching LAW OF THE WOLF, and the lead man is played by Dennis Moore...wowee...what a handsome guy...and they certainly make him take his shirt off a lot. Sort of makes you forget there is even a dog in this movie.

I began my evening with the remaining episodes of THE TUDORS. By the time we get to the end, Wolsey is gone, Cromwell is on the ascent, Henry is on the verge of founding the Church of England.

And the actor who plays Anne's brother George (Padraic Delaney) is adorable.

Interesting how "sort and toss" can be sung to the tune of Legally Blonde's "Bend and Snap."

Maybe we can do a combo exercise move and house de-clutterer and market it as the "Sort and Toss."

Then I watched the bonus features on the fourth disc. There were brief featurettes on the sets and costumes (both deserved to be much lengthier, especially the costumes).

The most significent extra is a 20+ minute tour of notable sights in and around London where some momentous events in Tudor history occurred. (Not in the filming of this series, however, which was shot completely in Ireland.)

Next I watched Universal's anamorphic encoding of PILLOW TALK. It will always be one of my favorites comedies, and this DVD improves on sharpness and richness in color from the nonanamorphic edition I have had for years.

However, no clean-up of any kind was done on the film for this DVD. The image is just speckled with dirt from first moment to last.

I had about 70 minutes left in my evening, so I put in THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT Part II. Not in the same league with the original film or with the third part, this one is too much a hodgepodge of clips without much thought to putting them into sensible groupings. (There are a couple of groupings but other sections are haphazardly assembled.)

The numbers that were deleted when the first cut ran too long ("Stanley Steamer," "Drum Crazy") have not been reinserted for the DVD release. And though I love Astaire and Kelly dearly, there is WAY too much of them. At one point, Gene says in voiceover, "Here you are again, Fred," and I said "THAT'S THE TRUTH!"

I still have about an hour left.
