You guys really think that this

is sexier than this?

Jennifer, I can't begin to tell you what that Batman photo does for me.

Thank you Jay and LC for the compliment.  Hmm, I originally typed that as JC and L.

I vote for Kimlette (with a side of hash browns for Jennifer)

Very nice, Noel.

Ron, it is so weird that you posted that cartoon of Mighty Mouse.  All day yesterday at work, I had the Mighty Mouse theme stuck in my head.  I even mentioned to my co-workers that I hadn't thought of that theme (and all of the correct lyrics, I might add) for years and years.  And suddenly, cartoons are the Topic d'jour and you post Mighty Mouse's picture.  Ohh, what can it mean???

My closest friend often wears the Superman T I bought him a few years ago. My "pet name" for him is CK. (which no-one else gets). Yes you guessed right TCB. Apaulingly (sic) cute!

Never mind re:  The Silly Record.  I've found the info.

Good! I did enjoy the story.  My mother was English so I called her Mummy when I was young.

Good afternoon all
Thank you all for your good vibes...to my amazement I think I actually passed my test well, and the kids are being really well behaved this afternoon.  You guys don't know what a source of comfort and humor this site is to me :)

Cartoons..
I echo everything that has been said so far, always been a huge fan of the Looney Toons bunch.  I also was fond of the Tiny Toons gang...
Rescue Rangers, Duck Tales, Batman...ahh, my afternoons during elementary school years...I loved them all.
Does anyone remember a cartoon cat called Heathcliff?  I used to love that show...it disappeared
Adult cartoons...Simpsons tops the list of course.  Being without cable makes adding any others kinda hard.
And because I watch them so much...I am rather fond of the Clifford the Big Red Dog cartoon on PBS...

Such wonderful memories of characters like Mighty Mouse (which I watched every week on Saturday but the opera motif did get a little wearying, I must admit) and Yackey Doodle.

Yes, DR. Panni, my mother did let us draw on the screen for Winky Dink, but she HAD to be in the room for the show. That was a rule.

And here is a question for all DRs.  Who is sexier, Superman or Batman?  I'm having this debate with someone.

Without a doubt.  Batman.  Who wants to date a guy that is faster than a speeding bullet?

TCB-you crack me up.

Superman if you are referring to the comics-tough call between the movies, (Superman and Batman 1)

I'm confused about the Gypsy soundtrack. I thought that was being sold through Rhino Handmade. Is it out and available through regular vendors? Inquiring minds want to know.

TCB:  I have no idea what the "Mighty Mouse" coincidence means.  This coincides with my having  received "Tootsie" this weekend after your having mentioned watching it.

I believe our comets are crossing in some weird, unimaginably kinky and kind of fun way.

Funny to ask about Batman and Superman. I was a HUGE fan of the Superman comics family and really didn't enjoy Batman in the comic books, but I think Batman is incredibly sexy and Superman not very.

BTW, I just read from Ken Mandelbaum that Image is releasing the Julie Andrews/CINDERELLA on DVD next year. OMG! SWEENEY TODD and CINDERELLA during the same calendar year! Be still my beating heart!

Noel - now that you have the lyric, we need more verses and music!

I think this new message board needs a theme song!  And what better one that "Banna Peels on the Champs Elysée"? :)

From BK's mention it sounds like a Rhino release. I'll have to go to the site. They usually send me an e-mail when new releases are available.

Oh and Jennifer - of course Superman is sexier than Batman.

Superman IS Canadian after all :)

Ann:  How did your test go?  After the week you have had, I think you deserve an A+ (plus a lot of karma).

Jane:  Congratulations on your successful talk!

And finally, since this seems to be Election Day here at HHW:
How many vote to have Jed post a photo of himself in his underoos???

Oh, yes. Noel, very funny song. Thanks for that. Now we just need some music and a wav file and it can be the theme song for the new board (since we now have a mascot - yet to be named).

Re:  The boxer briefs of Batman and Superman.

Who remembers "Lois and Clark"???  In the first (or nearly the first) episode, Martha Kent has taken material found in the spaceship Clark arrived in and sewn it into a blue body suit with red briefs, a yellow belt and a red cape (and I don't think anyone should ask how Martha managed to cut the fabric that will repel so many things like bullets and fire and knives, etc.).

As Clark is modelling in front of a mirror, the dialogue goes something like this:

Clark: "These make my butt look big"

Martha: "No one is going to be looking at your butt, dear."

Clark: "MOM"!

Although Dean Cain is a hottie (I can't believe I just used that word) I never watched Lois and Clark. I did see the gay-themed movie DC was in though, the name escapes me. It also had the guy from Scrubs and Frasier's dad, and others. I'm blanking. I'm getting old.

Congratulations Jane on your success with "The Sparrow". Now for your talk on Tim Winton's "Cloud Street"

First I have to find the book.  Is it still in print?

Was Dean Cain playing Superman even in that episode (I didn't watch LOIS AND CLARK)? If so, there wouldn't be too much of Superman that I WOULDN'T be looking at.

Yes, Dean Cain was Clark and Teri Hatcher was Lois from the very beginning.

The part of Jimmy Olsen went to Justin Whalen in the second season.  I don't recall who played it in Season 1.

TCB: (from post one of the day!) My favourite cartoons are really those that my dad drew on the cave walls.
I have just received a birthday/Christmas present from a wonderful young man in the NW. Now how do I prevent myself from undoing the package for another 32 days?  Of course I have the strength and resolve of purpose etc that comes with advanced age.

Ron, I’m so happy.  Thanks for the Mighty Mouse Picture-absolutely my favorite.  Tom and Jerry and Chip n Dale were also favorites.  That’s it-didn’t watch most of the cartoons that were on.

When our boys were young I enjoyed Belle and Sebastian and….. And I can’t remember if it was Thundercats or a different show.  At the end it had a moral which I thought was great for kids.  Of course the moral followed the violence.
