Yes, Jane, I took care of the dogs... Mini Schnauzer/mini poodle cross and the other is what I call "backyard special'. He defied definition.

Why can't I think of Stubby Kaye without adding "hey hey hey" in my mind (almost an Opus One reference)

It has rained on and off all day long. It began raining just as I got back home from lunch. Stopped for awhile, and now it's picked up again.

I began my afternoon of viewing with last night's JOHN ADAMS.

Excellent episode, and the ending with the election of the first President and his swearing in was very moving indeed.

Next came DIRT and Lucy and Don's first real confrontation. Poor Don; he operates better in the real world on his meds, but he's much more fun when he's not on them. No surprise at all about the two reporters other than what took them so long?

I skimmed through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. Luke and Noah were on, and seems clear now that Ameera will be causing problems because, as I predicted, she wants a real marriage. What do you want to bet Noah gets seduced and Ammera gets pregnant?

I ended the afternoon watching another CSI: NY from Season 1. This was Danny's first case as lead investigator as he scopes out a diner with multiple homicides. Mac and Stella's case involved the death of a man with a missing leg.

I decided I'd watch THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK on HD-DVD when I go back down. I should have plenty of time to get the 2+ hour movie watched before NEW AMSTERDAM comes on at 9.

Dear friend (and BK co-star in the Last Starfighter reading at NYMF) Maureen Silliman seems to be doing quite well in THE GLASS MENAGERIE, currently at Two River Theater Co. in Red Bank, NJ.

Here's the review from the Newark Star-Ledger:

Got to tidy up a few things downstairs (have already cleaned the dining room this morning) and then it'll be back to viewing.

Just another half hour to go here at Ripley-Grier.  So far, so good. (Ah, a No Way To Treat A Lady reference![/i])

My car had a long-deserved bath - I don't think it had been washed in two months.

And wasn't she at the same after-theatre gathering that DR Cillaliz talked about, along with Danny Burstein and Lenny Wolpe?  What I remember is that they all 3 were very nice.  I'd love to see Maureen in The Glass Menagerie, one of my favorite plays.

I shall shortly be on my way to the Heim of Ana for some chow and some rehearsal.  We're not in the theater tonight, but at our alternate space.  I do believe that only happens one other time before we open.

If I remember correctly, she had recently been here in Cincinnati in a show.  Will you let me know if she's there, or in Dayton, again?

And are you going to get out to see the show in Red Bank?  When our family vacationed in Ocean Grove, NJ, the bus we took a couple of times into Manhattan made a major stop in Red Bank.

Was it only a week ago that I was bragging about how God had answered my prayers by bringing me that photo shoot?

############

Oh, what a difference a week makes!  Oh, I still believe that the photo shoot was an answer to my prayer and I am very grateful for the opportunity and for the money.  But, since then:

1)  I have found out that it will take up to 8 weeks before I ever see the check for the photo shoot.

2)  That my rowing around Lake Washington for those frozen morning hours probably sped up need for a third back surgery.

And 3) (added just this morning)  The MRSA has returned.

########

Now don't I make your lives seem so much better by comparison?
