Yes, Coleslaw, and you got Amazon's last copy of NOBODY DROWNS IN MINERAL LAKE.

But there are used copies starting from .90 .......     :)

And I'd be willing to bet that the author would be willing to sign one!

Same here, DR TCB!  Weren't there super editions, too, that cost a quarter?

I also read Katie Keene comics.

Yes, your right, Ginny.  I had to hit my Mom up to buy me those expensive comics.

I think I'll just hang out here at HHW all day, and avoid doing my taxes altogether.

I was standing in the checkout line at Safeway the other day, and among their collection of STAR, ENQUIRER, etc; they had a small pocket size collection of Archie and Jughead.  I almost bought it for myself.  But since I have a friend who opened his own comic book store, I think I will wait and buy some from him.

Oh, and the one at Safeway was a little more than a quarter.

Yes, but now she expects it for dinner every night.

Tell me about it....I just got back from a Tuna run.

My mother gave me a welcome mat a few years ago. It says

If you ever want to see these people again, bring 5 pounds of tuna in a brown paper sack. Signed The cat

I never dreamed it would come true.  I have the mat in my garage and laugh every time I'm coming home from a tuna run

I also loved ARCHIE Comics when I was a kid.  Of course, they only cost a dime when I bought them.

I was a member of the Official Archie Fan Club...and the Official Banan Splitz Fan Club    or was it Banana Splits?

Good Afternoon!

It's Hot Up Here... In "upstate" Manhattan.  ;)

I just went for a walk, and practically feels like summer outside.  The temp is around 70 degrees, and the humidity is high too - and there are thunderstorms predicted for this afternoon.  -And from the look of the clouds, I have a feeling those predictions will come true.

Though my tax preparer does do an awesome job of expensing my freelance income down to virtually nil.  ;)

Think I'll go read for awhile.  I can't remember the last time I sat down in the middle of the day to read a book that has nothing to do with work  I'm reading Things We Couldn't Say http://www.amazon.com/Things-Couldnt-Say-Diet-Eman/dp/0802847471/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1208022185&sr=8-1 It's the story of the woman from the Dutch Resistance I saw the other night. Amazing story

We had Bogie's sister, Bacall.  It didn't seem right calling his sister Bacall, but nothing else went so well with Bogie.

Not as bad as being fully self-employed.
