DR MBarnum - While I was browsing the book selection at MoMA the other day, I came across this book, which I thought would undoubtedly interest you:

Behind the Scenes of Hindi Cinema: A Visual Journey through the Heart of Bollywood

Do you already have copy?

I think I do have this book, but I am not certain...maybe I have just looked at it on Amazon.com before.

Good Afternoon!

Well, we were able to head to lunch at 1:10, so I've already had my nice walk outside - it's warm! - as well as my lunch.  Lunch today was some veggie-vegetable soup with a few rye crisps... My first "real" food in almost two weeks!  :)

DR elmore did indeed pay a visit before heading up to the sixth floor for the reading he's attending.  He even bore gifts!  Thank You, Larry!

I don't understand why some audition calls that DR JoseSPiano plays have so many actors that they have to type people out, and others where the staff is sitting around waiting for people to come in.

We don't understand it either.  And there's only two roles pre-cast in the production, so it's not like auditioning for Phantom of the Opera where there's never really any slots available.  Hopefully, their Chorus Call in a week or so will be better attended - they usually since a member of the production/direction/musical team must be in attendance at those auditions, and some people just prefer to sing for those people.

Lowe's just phoned. My new dishy washer has a big gash in the side. It'll be another week before they have another one. Sigh. He did offer me a discount, though--always welcome.

It requires a lot of technical training.

DRs JoseSPiano and Jeanne are both getting back on regular food.  For different reasons, but still.

DR TCB - yes, my name is Virginia.  Many people call me Ginny, some call me Gin.  Professionally, I use Virginia, because on the phone Ginny gets confused with Jenny.  Also, Richard likes the more formal version of my name, and of his.

People have more trouble spelling Virginia than I'd expect.  At Starbucks, they often ask your name and write it on your cup.  The other morning, it looked like I was named for a pharmaceutical.

 ;D
You'd be surprised how many people can't spell the name "Jean"--nevermind my Jeanne without the "i". I live on Lee St--I spell that for them, too.

*That's actually a common problem/occurence during the SETC Conventions each year.  Since "we" take over the whole hotel, and since most of the programs all start at the same time in the morning, basically the whole is taking a shower at the same time.  -Or something like that.  It definitely causes temporary hot water issues for the later-risers.

That certainly makes sense, though I've stayed at some hotels  where I think it's just business as usual. Sometimes there's a very good reason why the hotel was priced so low! (I bet we could spend a whole day on unseemly hotel stories.)

The gashing was apparently done by the folks doing the delivery to Lowe's--pre-Marvelous Matt.

One of the many nice things about Marvelous Matt is that if he goofs he fixes it--without being asked and at extra no cost. Yes, the old-timey work ethic and sooo hard to find these days.

I'm often amazed at how our DRs can get so much mileage out of such innocuous remarks!
