I am super happy to be posting from home and not from work. Today is the first day of my 5 day vacation. My good friend and former roommate is on his way from Boston with his husband and their daughter. They are going to pick me up around 12:30 and then we will make our way to visit another close friend in DC/Virginia. We three have known each other since middle school- we were all in a production of Bye Bye Birdie together.

Sad news to report:

Two of Hollywood's Golden age actresses passed away this week:

Kay Linaker starred in several Charlie Chan films as well as YOUNG MR LINCOLN, TRADE WINDS, and I AM A CRIMINAL. She was 94.

June Travis died in Chicago Il, at age 93. Leading lady opposite the likes of Joe E. Brown, James Cagney, and Warren Williams (Della Street to his Perry Mason).

My interpretation was similar to TDs, but I thought that when she mentioned coming back, she was referring to that guy coming back into their lives.

Wonderful episode of "Law and Order: SVU" last night. Well, not wonderful in the warm, fuzzy sense. But it was a good story with a sensitive guest performance by ~~Casper Van Dien~~Bailey Chase as a professional football superstar accused of murdering his gay lover. (I wasn't too thrilled with the red herring...I suspected the killer earlier on but the writers veered off the development of that arc and then returned to it -- PLOP -- to tie things up).

I don't think that was Casper van Dien. Was it? I thought it was the guy from that dreadful TNT series SAVING GRACE.

DR Ron Pulliam, do you ever go to the 42nd Street Moon performances? I don't recall your ever mentioning them and I see that Andrea Marcovicci is doing COCO with them.

The Ellingtons are finished except for the eaqy one I need to talk to the MD about before I do it.
