I spent another morning in the garden and am now doing laundry. My gardening muscles seem to be taking longer to get back in shape these days.

DR Ron Pulliam, do you ever go to the 42nd Street Moon performances? I don't recall your ever mentioning them and I see that Andrea Marcovicci is doing COCO with them.

I can answer this one also.  I have been to a few performances and I know several people who do their shows.  It's hit and miss, the two I've seen were fun.  I like the format and the performances are usually top notch.

You had said that you thought lynnette's cancer might be returning because of a sarcastic comment she made when tom said her hair was coming back nicely.
Being a woman i totally get what she meant. And i really don't think it had anything to do with her cancer returning. Her hair was coming back so slowly and it was quite unattactive. So her saying, "yeah it's coming back" sarcasticly made perfect sense to me.

I don't think that was Casper van Dien. Was it? I thought it was the guy from that dreadful TNT series SAVING GRACE.
Crap!  You're right!  It's Bailey Chase.

FYI:  Bailey Chase was a supporting character in the last few seasons of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" as a member of her boyfriend Riley's special unit.

(He reminds me of Van Dien....hence the supposition that it was him).

I am also completely unwilling to crawl in there and get it, so am now determining alternatives.

I'm pretty sure that one of the DS's would do it - for a fee!   ;D

With my favorite recent business name, Affordable Wildlife Solutions, on the way here, I am hoping my rodent problem will soon be gone.  This thing has the longest tail I have ever seen.  It totally freaked me out.  I'm OK with mice, even possums (this may be a possum), but this thing just is too big for me to want to pick up.

No, I never have.  In fact, this is the first time I've been aware of its existence.  Fascinating.  I know exactly where the theater is, too.  Damn!

I think some of our Broadway cognoscenti don't agree with me, but I hauled out the OBC of Raisin today, after having reviewed the Combs/Rashad/McDonald tv movie.  Personally it's one of my favorite 70s scores.  I never saw the show, so I can't comment on how it worked as a musical, but I love a lot of that score.

Dear BK,

Why is this keyboard so greasy?!?

A fine question.  A greasy keyboard keeps the squeaky wheel in the frying pan.

Reportedly overheard lyrics from Trevor Nunn’s staged Gone With the Wind, just opened in London:

"I'm the queen of the county
The belle of the ball
But like Humpty Dumpty
I had a great fall,"

chirrups Scarlett, and one fervently wishes she hadn't.

"If we close our hearts to hatred
And we open them to love
Hope will follow
On the wings of a dove".

The world I knew so well-
Why did it have to turn
Into a living hell?”

So, DR Pulliam, what you're telling us is that Casper doesn't know how to button his shirt?

Not that that's a bad thing!    ;D
