I haven't quite relaxed yet, but I'm sort of taking it easy.  Will have to go to the mail place in an hour.

Obviously, some people got them, given the few postings I've seen about it.

I think I should have gotten mine by today if it had been mailed on Saturday.  We shall see.

Many and assorted dead rats have been removed from my home environment.  Good grief.

JMK-We had a water rat once, fortunately the dog killed it.  And fortunately I got the neighbor to dispose of it for me.  At least it was outside.  I really feel for you with those in your walls.

They're not in the walls--there's an unfinished crawlspace that connects to one of the storerooms.  It has a door and even a light, and there's plenty of room to crawl/kneel, but this is totally freaking me out anyway.

I had a bad encounter with an aggressive dog while on my walk this morning. Fortunately, the dog's neighbor came running over when he heard me screaming like a little girl.

My question:

How many miles do you have on your car?

I just rolled over 114,000 or so.

Singdaw, what did they say about Primrose on castrec?  I've read a few lovely comments on a couple of boards, so that's nice.

Question for BK or anyone:  Can you post some of the lovely comments? :)

And have there been any not-so-lovely comments? :-\

Well, if you'd answer my ask bk question from a few posts back, that'd be another post.  ;D

With all that room it is odd they are getting in and not back out again.  I would also be freaked, having an invasion of mice was bad enough-large rats-yuck.  Funny I don't mind the live rats I occasionally see along the creek.  I find them entertaining, but then they are where they belong, which is not in my house.

And a very Happy Birthday to the one and only William Shakespeare!  The exact date of his birth is unknown (he was baptised on April 26, 1564), but my Futurama calendar has it listed today, so that's good enough for me. ;) Interestingly, he died on this day in 1616.  Anyway, if he were alive today, he'd be 444 years old! ;D

My guess is they like it because it's dry and probably a bit warmer than outside.  The guy (who was great, really funny, which I appreciated) gave me a quote on attaching galvanized steel screen under the stepback which he said would take care of it, so we may bite the bullet and do that.

I asked the guy what the weirdest job he had ever done was and he told me about a lady who called saying she had raccoons in her attic, but that when he arrived, she confided that she was convinced it was actually her ex-husband hiding up there trying to scare her.

Similarities are even greater depending on the photo:

According to the imdb, the two are close friends and even lived together for a time.

I am beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel (an Andrew Lloyd Webber reference). I did manage to finish the documentaries connected to the "Broadway" Indy adventure.

The one I had started last night but didn't finish was on Tin Pan Alley and how it pretty much dried up after 50 years as those sheet music publishers didn't allign themselves with either radio or movie studios and thus lost out.

Next came a 25 minute featurette on the Algonquin Round Table. Not much there I didn't already know, but still fun to watch.
