E and T, I tell ya, E and T ...and not happy about it, either... in the middle of major rewirtes on the ol' gorilla .. the good news is I do think they'll make it a stronger paper ... the bad news, I am so over this (I was spent when the two performances were over, so messing with this paper is about to do me in ... where's the mercy? I want to be D-O-N-E !!)

I want my life back!

I was just checking in to say howdy and to say that my E and T behavior isn't because I don't love you HHWers any more .. AND

to check on DR Cilla -- is she safe from all that terrible flooding up there?! I was worried for her so let me know.

Good morning, fellow Dear Readers. This morning on my walk, I saw the nighthawks silhouetted in the dawning sky:

Mornin' DRLaura. Thanks, that is great news! One thing about this here site, it makes you feel really connected to what's going on around the USofA, and those points around the world, where any HHWer is living. One does worry if something is happening in the HHW big ol' backyard...

Guess I'll head down and get things set-up with the laptop tonight so I can participate in the Tony party.

All that said, and one mini-frenzy later, it's time for me to skedaddle. Have a great HHW Tony Bash. Would love to make it, but it ain't gonna happen this year. To quote The Great Enabler: Laters!

(Boy, I sure could use a Levain about now ... a piece of Monkey Cake might be more appropriate as I wrestle with this one on my back ...)

Hello, everyone. Introductions often seem so awkward, especially when you are introducing yourself. This is PDXJane, the sister DR JulieC40  often mentions. As they say on AM talk radio, I am sort of a long time listener, first time caller at HHW. A very dear, regrettably departed friend named Dennis Clancy first told me about this place years ago, and I have occasionally lurked here since.  My interest in and involvement in Theatre goes back many more years than I care to admit. And it's nice to know that there are many kindred spirits on this board.

T.O.D.

Without a doubt "We'll Take A Glass Together" from GRAND HOTEL with the wonderful Michael Jeeter and the WSMA, Brent Barrett.

This is my feel good video clip.  I only have to watch this once and I am immediately in a better mood.

Favorite Tony Award moment:  when Brent Barrett (the World's Sexiest Man Alive) and Michael Jeter sang, "We'll Take a Glass Together."  It's pure joy! ;D

As usual, George, you have impeccable taste.

Afternoon all. I won't be around for the Tony do this evening. I'm watching, as I usually do, at a friend's apartment so I won't see all the hubub here until tomorrow morning when I get to the office.

Welcome to PDXJane!

Sunday afternoon greetings!  Last night I slept in our bed instead of on my Cleopatra couch.  It was so nice not to be curled like a pretzel.  After my 6am meds, I went back to sleep until almost 10am.  Richard stayed home from church today, because he didn't want to leave me alone for such a long time.  He's the best!

Welcome new DR PDXJane!  I was born in Portland, grew up in Detroit, and now live in SW Ohio.

It sounds like you and Julie are going to have a fantastic time in NYC!

I forgot about Father's Day even though I am an actual father.  I know this because on Friday I received a huge box of fresh cherries from my very own darling daughter.
