Is the whole damn show like this?

No.

Passing Strange really is truly unique.  I do think it leans more toward a rock concert with a theatrical thru-line, but it really was quite an enlightening and energizing evening the theatre for me.  It's most definitely not a show for everyone, but, regardless of whether you like Stu's music, his talent can't be denied.

And yet I've had many people tell me that Passing Strange is the best thing they've ever seen - the gal who played Yoni thought so, but then she's in her early 20s.  I'll be interested to see the number, and you know I won't be shy about my thoughts.

Might be - to people who have never seen anything.  8)

I wouldn't even download Passing Strange from iTunes.

Such vicarious thrills but I know you'll all want to be here for the West Coast reactions from people on the West Coast.

A pro theater friend of mine came back from NYC severalk years ago raving about BKLYN (or however it was spelled.) She swore it was the best show she'd ever seen.

Original cast of Rent?  Are they going to perform on Jazzies?

The Rent tribute - which comes in the last half hour - turned out to be quite touching. And a bit sobering.

*Even with all the screaming for Idina.

DR JOSE maybe it's one of those shows that MUSICIANS can really relate to.  The song was okay, but didn't seem like Broadway to me.

Just saw a clip - did they give Patti the old coat that Bernadette wore when she pretended to do GYPSY?

Yes, that mic falling off the stand was a shame.

I'm not noticing a lot of screaming teens....maybe they were banished to the upstairs....or the stage door.

Guess we're not entertaining enough for our GUESTS - they've dropped in number to nine.  Well, they'll be much better off at broadwayworld.com, where the true pundits are.

They're there - and can be heard.  -I think they just are not mic-ing the balcony this year.  Thankfully.

Just as bizarre this time around.

Dammit - weather break alert.....might be more entertaining that Lithgow, however.  ;D

No.  They're just showing some memorable clips from Tonys' past.
