On the iPod, Michelle Nicastro is singing Second Chance - quite a good Kander and Ebb song with a great chart by Lanny Meyers.

Oh, and somehow made a young woman cry today during rehearsal.  -I believe that's a first for me.

You told her you were gay?

It's about 107 degrees here in the City of Studio.  It's seventy-three in the house, though.

DR Jose - "Eclipse" is a "Jewish" band (promoted as such) that plays/sings at corporate functions.

I did teach with a Jewish lady named "Luna" at one time.  I am sure that is significant.

DR Laura - be careful being too sedentary.  You don't want to trade your sprained ankle for the problem I have  :-\

Maybe it was all that RICE you ate. ;)

Now Mr. Jobim is singing from Terra Brasilis, one of the most beautiful albums ever made, with stunning orchestrations by Mr. Claus Ogerman.

I believe that DR Julie may have in fact sung my exceedingly lovely choral arrangement of BABY ELEPHANT WALK with quite possibly the worst Hal David lyric ever (as I joke when we perform it, you know you're in trouble when "safari" is supposed to rhyme with "carry."

Did Hal David write the lyrics to CASINO ROYALE? If so, that would get my vote for #2.

I must say, I go back to Michelle Nicastro's "On My Own" album a lot... I just wish "Disneyland" were tracked so I could play it as a stand-alone- it's my favorite version of that song.

Of course - carry has to rhyme with Mary. Marry and Merry.

Now it's Elmer Bernstein's propulsive main title (one of the all-time greats) to The Caretakers - were it only a better film.

I can't remember if divarobbie got an Evening Primrose, although I'm pretty sure he did.

Just caught up on Tony postings... I was so happy for my pal (and bk's pal) Laura!  Saw her at the Gypsy after-party, and she was just radiant.

Druxy's finally become a regular after having been an irregular.  And I spy divarobbie.
Don't get too excited.  I'm really still an irregular...at least while I'm at home.

Currently, I'm traveling (in Texas) and I have a lot of "between time" in my hotel room.  So, since I'm using my wife's computer (which doesn't have MY stuff on it), and my DVDs are at home, I'm enjoying communicating with all you nice people.

Who knows?  Maybe I'll even graduate from "Jr. Member" brfore I get home.

High School Reunions: I went to the 10-year alone; I went to the 20-year with my friend I mentioned the other day; I was ready to RSVP for the 30-year when I realized I didn't care what any of them were doing -- except the aforementioned friend, who was overseas working as a missionary. So I stayed home.

I spent the afternoon at the office doing book work.  Don't like to do it, but it has to be done.  I've been watching the women's gymnastic olympic trials. I just adore Shawn Johnson...especially 'cause she's an Iowa girl.

I watched The Wonderful World of Disney.  Isn't that what it was called?

At different times it was called different things.  Wonderful World of Color was the name NBC gave it to promote their color broadcasts.

Back from seeing the resplendent DR TPunk in Guys and Dolls.  DR Ben and DP Ant were also in attendance.  I had a great time, and I must say that even overlooking my bias, DR TPunk was the standout in the chorus!  My eye was constantly drawn to her.  Great dancing!  :)   And she got a nice laugh on her line.

The cast had a very short break before preparing for their closing performance this evening.

It was lovely catching up with the ever sensitive and sweet Ben and Ant.

Oy! I forgot to do laundry. Better throw some clothes in before Design Star and Next Food Network Star are on tonight. I really should do some work for the office.  I have an incredibly busy week ahead, so I'm thinking about just relaxing tonight.
