DR JoseSPiano seems to be all work and no play.    :(

What's the point of being in Florida?    ;)

Well... We're off on Saturday.  And, apparently, it's only around $5.00 to take the Tri-Rail down to Miami, so... We shall see.

-Now if DR ArnoldMBrockman happens to be in the area, well...

*But I also have a friend who may come over from Ft. Myers to see me this weekend too.  So, I'm sure I'll be having some sort of fun while I'm down here.

I have played many a strange wedding request in my life, two of the more memorable being:

The daughter of a hippie couple was getting hitched outdoors in Portland's beautiful Washington Park Rose Gardens.  Their bridal march?  Stairway to Heaven.

One of my favorite weddings ever was a couple where the groom owned one of Portland's little "art house" movie theaters (in fact, I remember it was showing "Land of the Pharoahs" when they came to see me to plan the music).  Because he owned the movie house, he wanted all of the music in the service to be from films.  It turned out he was a big Lani Hall fan (he saw my Mendes CD collection when he came), so he had me sing "Never Say Never Again" as seating music, but the best part was he had me play Monty Norman's 007 Theme for his entrance and he came running down the aisle in various Bond poses holding a toy gun!  It was actually cute, as weird as it sounds.

My favorite wedding gig was an All Stevie Wonder Songs wedding for a couple that was getting married on Andrews Air Force Base.  Various relatives of the couple throughout the ceremony, and they all were amazingly good singers.  -And I turned out to be the only non-related part of the entertainment.

So much for having a second day off.

Yesterday, before der B and I headed to the store for a few items, there was a call from work, asking me to come in this afternoon and work from 3:30 to 9:30.

So, when we got to the store, I confirmed that I'll be there.

Have you ever considered saying no, when you get called in on your day off?

I just read that late actor Brian Kelly (who allegedly was supposed to play Robin Stone in the film version of "The Love Machine", a part that went to John Philip Law after Kelly had his debilitating motorcycle accident) was the uncle of Brian d'Arcy James.

I read it at IMDb.

Wow!  There's a blast from the past!  "The Love Machine"!

"He's movin' on.....that Robin Stone..."

Great song sung by Dionne Warwick (IIRC).

Umm... Yes.  And I believe even our own DR MBarnum know that bit of information and has shared it with us here on the site before.

DR George - You're Welcome!

*Did the "extra" arrive intact?  I was afraid that one of the "caps" was going to fall off in transit.

The "extra" did arrive! :D Thanks for that, also.  I don't know if the caps actually fell off but the tape on each end was not sealed*.  The contents, however, arrived in perfect condition.

*For future reference, use a LOT more scotch tape, if that's all you have. ;)

Well... I actually had to depend on the kindness of the postal clerk who assisted me with the package.  She said that she would tape up the ends, however, I was not privy to what type of tape she was going to use.  But I'm glad everything reached you.  -But the caps were on the ends of the tube?

Yes, they both were on...but there was crumpled paper only on one end of the tube.  Did you pack it on both ends?

It's a disease, isn't it?  As in, "He's had the Ricky Skaggs for six weeks now, and it don't look like the doctors can cure it!"

Don't ALW songs teach themselves?     ::)

I'm just sayin'...     :)

I did not, again, get anything from Deep Discount!

Sigh!

My first order was shipped 10 days ago.  My second was 6 days ago.

Double sigh!

The Corrected List, with 195 Entries!

Shelton, Reid (P 10)

Except that Reid Shelton was mentioned by Matt H. on Page Four.

No, DR TCB - there was no OBC of Miss Saigon, just as there was no OBC of Phantom.Neither Starlight Express nor Aspects of Love had OBCs, either.

Maybe that's a good thing. ::)

;)

And yet, there is a German Cast Recording of MISS SAIGON!
