It is kind of cool seeing some of these ships sailing in Puget Sound.

Ahh... I still remember being able to board some of those ships when my family lived in Seattle.  Since my Dad was in the Coast Guard, we were able to board some ships that weren't open to the public.

But the SHIP I really want to see is the HMS Bounty that was built in 1960 for the 1962 film of MUTINY ON THE BOUNTY starring Marlon Brando.  Recently it was used in PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN II.  Unfortunately, I haven't spotted it yet.

Are you saying my mast isn't big enough for the Tall Ships?

DR Ginny - You've actually been to Dylan's Candy Bar already!  We walked through it briefly on the way to Serendipity - it's just down the street.

I can quibble:  Give us Damian Lewis in "Life."

He also crossed my mind.  I decided to only go with my first choice.

I have another interview tomorrow for a different job that would actually pay me double what I would be making at this other temp-to-hire position I'm suppose to be starting next week.  I have 2 people at this other place where I have my interview at that I've worked with before that have highly recommended me and one is a supervisor there!  That would be SO cool and it is NOT temp to hire but permanent!

SUPER BIG VIBES YOU GET THIS JOB!!!

I had a drug test yesterday and it was really odd.  I had to try 3 times.  Has anyone ever had the problem where the tester said the temperature was too cool to gauge anything? :)  Pretty odd, huh?

Strange.  Is this related to any test or only for drug testing?

And now we are having a ground beef recall in the Northwest's Fred Meyer and QFC stores for possible E coli.

Was anyone surprised at the person eliminated on  The Search for The Next Elle Woods or whatever it's called?  Is anyone watching but me?

I watched the first couple of episodes and set my DVR to record all new episodes, but not repeats.  But even though it's rebroadcast many times over the week, they're ALL marked as new, so my DVR indicated that it was going to record a dozen or so episodes! :P I deleted the series recording and have forgotten when the first real "new" episode is each week, so I think I've missed a couple. :-\

My DVR says they are all new also. I left the series recording and just delete all the extras under "future recordings"

There was a bank robbery today in Wahpeton ND. The guy had a gun and a 12 pack of beer.

You know, as I was telling Richard about it (over the dinner that I cooked!), it began to dawn on me that we'd at least walked past Dylan's.  I really don't remember being inside - guess we had our minds set on frozen hot chocolate!

DR DakotaCelt re: diet tips and using artificial sweetners.

I would love to use honey. But it has an enormous amount of carbs. :(

I use it sparingly but I do like to use it.. I also use unsweetened apple sauce
