In my OFFICIAL MICKEY MOUSE CLUB BOOK, he's listed as Don Agrati (Grady).

DR Music Guy - Those would be two good college friends of mine, Hildi and Teresa.  Only halfway decent pic of me I could come up with at the time. :D  Hoping to have a new solo pic up next week.

Hey DR Emily. Let me know if you find anything interesting at amazon.ca.  I did notice they have this month's Boy From Oz.  But what I really want is next month's Wicked (although I suppose it's too early for THEM to list it).

Did anyone catch Kristin and Idina on the Today show? I really enjoyed it.

The UPS man was just here -- left me "The Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (1956) and "The Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978), plus the brand spanking new CD by that "Fame" sensation himself, Harlemm Lee.

Wowee wow-wow!  I can't wait to enjoy all these goodies!

MusicGuy: Yours is a surprisingly hard question to answer, only because I've given Guy songs that I love so much.  I can tell you I'm very partial to It Doesn't Matter Anymore on Prime Time Musicals and When You're Alone on the Peter Pan CD, and You Must Believe in Spring on the HHW CD.

Jennifer... ooh... I had FORGOTTEN about WICKED.  How unseemly.

If it gets listed before Dec. 2 I will DEFINITELY buy that one! :)

I was only able to tape the second and third hours (not the first) and won't be able to check until late tonight to see if I caught it.  I hope that they didn't try to sing sometime in the first hour.  Aside from me (potentially) missing their performance(s?), that's just too damned early for anyone to try and sing.

Whew!  LOL - let me know the reactions DR Maya1

No DR Danise - DR Jennifer didn't tell me the joke.  I heard it several years ago!

Don Agrati is indeed Don Grady...and yes poor Lani suffered some bad times before joining the choir invisible.

On TCM they are showing the newsreel footage of the premiere of THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT...what a lot of stars!

And oy oy oy - my GYPSY cd came today....Rosalind Russell singing oy oy oy.  You know of course she has the biggest memorial in Holy Cross Cemetery.  Any taller and they would have to put an airplane warning light on it.

Is December 2nd the cut off date? I don't know if I will use the coupon. I really want that. But what other new cds are there?

Here in the east the Today show is on from 7am to 10am. They were on in the 8:30am half hour (probably around 8:50am). Kristin sang "Popular". Then they spoke to them for a minute or two after the 9am break.

So according to what I just said, I think you must have gotten it.

My report on the Gypsy CD in tomorrow's notes.  This is a very pleasant number of posts whilst it's still afternoon on the Coast of West.

They recorded yesterday.  One of the sites has photos.  Forget which one.

Amazon.com already has the album listed and is taking pre-orders:

I think Mark has been working more on the profiles. At last I have been able to post one that almost works and I have not changed the size etc - all the messages said I was too big before! I wish.

Well, Miss Jennifer, I see that you have surpassed me. I knew it would happen. I will just have to work extra hard tomorrow, even though I will be at work - I have to make sure my priorities are straight - so to speak.

But it doesn't hurt to at least catch up.

I just finished writing my third letter of complaint to my cable company in as many weeks. I am also sending copies to the Public Service Commission, the State Attorney General's office and my elected government representatives. I don't think they realize what they have started.

Since BK got Gypsy at Tower, I will go to Tower this weekend and see if I can find it, saving myself shipping and handling from Amazon. I know that as of yesterday Footlight didn't have it. I should also check my used CD store. They seem to get things the day the CDs are released to the public.

I just know I'm gonna wake up tomorrow morning, go to the office, turn on my computer and be faced with 2 or 3 more pages of notes to read. It's amazing. We certainly have a lot to say.

I do hope you avoid those straight priorities Ben. For those who care about such things "Queer Eye" is now in the top ten rating programmes in OZ!

I'm finally back (althogh I guess, technically I never left...)!

Fast catch-up of the last week or so: I did get a job, and I have started said job. I'm a waitress/"receptionist"/busgirl at a local cafe/restaruant. I HATE answering the phone, I don't mind bus-ing, and I LOVE waitressing. It's good exercize! (I spelled that wrong, oh well) The people I work with are really nice, they taught me what to do really well, because I automatically got the hang of it. I'm working Friday and Saturday nights, and Sunday mornings. Yay for money! Oh, another cool thing about the people there is that they all speak like 5 languaes, I think Arabic, French, English, Spanish, and German. How cool is that? And there I am, the American saying "Je parle francais! Un peu! Un peu!" :)

I also had All-County Chorus last weekend, with Dr. Judy Bowers from Florida State as my director. I did NOT like her whatsoever. Half of being a choral director is being smart about what you do. The other half is having the ability to have fun with the students and teach them so that you're all happy and the performance is entertaining. This woman has no people skills at all. And she's my director for All-District too, which is in March. So I have MORE fun to look forward to! ;).

Tom: I broke my little toes all the time. I seriously bet I've broken each 5 times. I'm just a clutz, I suppose. But after a week, they're pretty much healed, so what can you do? And I think I sprained my finger playing dodgeball in 2nd or 3rd grade. Traumatizing, as I'm sure you could tell.

Emily: Out of the country, I'd love to go to South America, anywhere warm. The rainforest would be amazing (except for the bugs...ew). In the country, NYC. That would actually come before South America.

Most boring job: Well, I'm going by babysitting jobs here. I once babysat a family of 5 kids, and all they wanted to do was read. No TV, no games, no toys. Just read books. The whole time. I was dying from boredom. So I picked up a book and read with them.

Oh, and this won't make sense to anyone but Laura II: I'm pretty sure that Ms. V kicked Chris out of SS. IM me for details.

WOW!  When did we get the new hunk from Australia?

He doesn't look anything like Tommy Tune, or whatever that damn train is called.

Boring shows: A few years ago I went to see Smokey Joe's Cafe with my grandmother.  Maybe it was because I hadn't slept well the night before, but I dozed off several times during the show.  Grandma, however, loved it, so it was fine.

I also saw the production of Martin Guerre in London some time ago, and found it dreadfully dull.

DR Jane, my relatives are either in Hawaii or San Francisco.  My mother has taken to coming at least once a year to see theatre and shop, and a few others are often in town on business, so I have the excuse to go out to dinner with them.  Since we are talking about travel, I go home to Hawaii every year for the holidays, so you are all welcome to come have a tropical H/K party with me!

For Queer Eye fans: I don't want to put the site into Cinemascope, so I will link to this computer-related cartoon, which I found hilarious:

http://www.joyoftech.com/joyoftech/joyimages/502.gif

I don't want those guys anywhere NEAR my computer!  :P

I'm home and relaxing.  Can you believe the lovely number of posts?  What is fascinating is that when we did the switchover, Mr. Bakalor and I had a long chat and we were both certain we would lose some people and we would also have to slowly build ourselves back to where we were.  Well, there hasn't been a day here on this new board where we haven't trounced the number of posts we used to have, and more often than not, we have doubled them, in terms of both posts and views.  Hoo and ray, if you want my opinion.

Re: "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" -- I heard on some entertainment news show that they're going ahead with development for "Straight Eye for the Queer Guy" and the premise will be in reverse -- five straight guys will try to help a queer guy do "straight-guy" stuff.
