Not sure what the melodic intent was above, but the one that went through my head was to "Rose's Turn" (Momma's lettin' go, Momma's doin' fine....).
As for what you sing instaed of "Harry Beaton"....was it something dirty??? Or did you substitute "Henry Higgins"?
As for the alternate lyrics, just remember we were in high school, so....
For "Jeannie's packing up, Jeannie's moving out..." just substitute "putting" for "moving"...
And as for "Harry Beaton"... Well, let's just say he instead of being "on" he was "off"...

Ah, the joys and foibles of adolescence! -And in a Catholic high school no less!?!?!?
Oh, and a Topic of the Day update:
Music to pack by: Donny Osmond's "Somewhere in Time" - I just love the whole retro-ness of this album.
And now from the ridiculous to the sublime:
Avenue Q OCR.
DR Jrand - As for Amish Acres doing
State Fair: Yes, it was quite the big deal. Richard Pletcher, the producer and owner of Amish Acres somehow managed to secure the rights to the show before anyone else - and they weren't even "publicly" on the market yet. That was actually quite a big season for them since they brought in Scott Schwartz to direct
The Baker's Wife too - and had his father, Stephen, come in for the opening night. And the stage there is actually named in honor of Joseph Stein. If anyone is interested, you can check out:
www.amishacres.comAnd to tie this thread up, I made a very dear friend that summer, Leigh. -And trust me, at that time, we all needed good friends.
OK - Back to packing. Clothes are done - Now for the kitchen... *I'm afraid I'm going to have to throw away a bunch of perishables - I hate when that happens, but I'll see what I can throw into a cooler with some ice. -OH, and then it's on to all the "little things" that have accumulated over the past 12 weeks.. Hmm... Maybe I will head back in the morning.. Hmmm...
