No. But the doctor said it will be about a week more before I feel better...so I know what to expect.

The roundup of contestants for BIG BROTHER 10 are quite an interesting lot...the gay rodeo cowboy in particular. I think this will be a good season...unlike the previous one.

I must say, whilst sitting on my couch like so much fish last night, I did something I rarely do - I went through every channel on my Direct TV - who WATCHES some of this stuff?  Just an endless parade of shows, both reality and otherwise, so lame and awful, none moreso than the horrible Hannah Montana, which made Saved By The Bell look like high art.

My friend David Wechter just forwarded this to me - I'd heard it was happening but I had no idea how far it had gone and how popular I was becoming:

Yes, we will have our own senate and cabinet and officials and the first two things I do in office are abolish the IRS and put everyone on some sort of flat tax, or simply tax the wealthiest of businesses in a major way, and take the oil companies to task and give them twenty-four hours to roll back prices to $3.00 a gallon for starters.

Did a two-mile jog, but ran slowly because my legs are just too too sore - this is two weeks in a row now of every day jogging.

OK... I've spent a bit more time online this morning/afternoon that I had sorta-planned.  Time to head out for a bit...

At which point they would simply stop selling to U.S. Retailers - then where are you?

In which case they they will raise their prices to re-coup their loss.

Hello, DR's...

My older sister Tami - who was in BK's class in High School - came over this morning with bagels and cream cheese for Rikki and me. Nice visit. Rik's making wonderful progress - and I told them both that I would be leaving LA for the cabin on Friday. Tami will take me to the Burbank airport. Among our large family and coterie of family friends, there will be enough people around to take up the slack without taxing anyone. It will be nice to get home - and STAY home through September - I tell yiz.

I forgot to log out while Zach and I went to the pet store.  Outside the entrance, there was a group seeking homes for cats and kittens.....SO cute!  :)

They won't because there will be more penalites if they do.  I think it's time for some of these obscenely profitible companies to share the wealth.  There is no excuse nor reason that people have to pay the kinds of taxes they do.  So, everyone will pay a reasonable flat tax based on income, and the rest will come from businesses and I'm just betting if you took away all the wasted money that gets spent year after year on meaningless things in this country, that one would be able to run this country just fine on that kind of money.  It's 100 years of idiocy that's brought us to where we are.  And I can't imagine anyone is thrilled with the economic situation in this country.

Back from a Gelson's run - and just whipped up a big batch o' tuna pasta salad, which will last me for two days.  I always lose weight from eating this for two days, and I'm curious to see how I'll do with the jogging added in.

I'm chilling the tuna pasta salad and it should be the way I like it in about an hour.
