JMK, that guy doesn't read the HHW board, does he?

Which guy?  My non-committal about to be committed in a different way actor?  :)  I care not, but I doubt it.

Billy Storm had a non hit with the theme from "El Cid".

I guess he is not the storm due to arrive in Phoenix.

I guess I could post that after purchasing the plane/hotel package for the trip to Fresno next month that they are contemplating changing the date of the meeting.

Been watching some episodes of Cannon - I hope they get better, but what an array of early 70s guest stars!

Perhaps An Australian Christmas in July.  Cold meats and crustaceans are popular here in mid summer.

And no a white a sport coat is not necessary worn to go with pink crustaceans. (a Jimmy Buffet reference - or a seafood buffet reference)

That of course is not surprising given that I don't care for much that is on TV.

I think the last TV series I enjoyed was "Arrested Development".
It was certainly the last one to make me smile!

To pad the posts, I could re-post the link to the Summer Shorts 2 festival with which Skip is involved.  It's been majorly updated.

I am now listening to Dusty Springfield "Beautiful Soul"

The CD inlcudes the song from "Goodby Maggie Cole" (ABC movie of the week starring Susan Haywood)

I got through the rest of the TRANSFORMERS set, and I was glad to be done with it. Kiddie stuff is OK in short doses, but the repetitive nature of the shows and my having to do so many crammed into three days made this truly an ordeal to be endured. Even the lamest movie (and I've had to suffer through some lame ones in the past year including WILDERNESS comedy with Steve Zahn and DRILLBIT TAYLOR with Owen Wilson) is over in a couple of hours. This took far too long to get through, and I felt like I had to watch every episode to make sure there were no defects in the transfers, etc.

I wasn't very taken with CANNON when I reviewed it a month or so ago. I never watched it during its five years on TV, so I came into it with an open mind. Just didn't find it all that engaging.

I watched the last half of the BURN NOTICE Season One finale and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had forgotten a lot about the first season's episodes, so nice to feel up to date with it.

I attempted to watch last night's MONK episode, but for some reason, the DVR stopped recording after 30 minutes. (I think the DVR reset itself for some reason; maybe some sort of transmission from the cable company.) Anyway, I set it to re-record the show tomorrow night which was the next time that episode airs.

It was OK though I was getting thoroughly put out with Brad Garrett's character in the episode.

So, I watched the first half of Thursday night's FEAR ITSELF. The story is intriguing enough for me to finish it tomorrow, but oh boy are the characters (particularly the leading lady) nitwits in the show.

So, this will leave me with THE MOLE and the last half of FEAR ITSELF on the DVR. I will be watching HIGH AND LOW tomorrow, and since it's such a long movie, looks like it will take up a large portion of the day since there is a commentary on the first disc in the set, too.
