Good morning, all! I may be out of the NYMF show now, and it's not a big loss for me. The show's had a hard time pinning down an MD, and the two people they're now interviewing want to do the arrangements themselves. I am completely understanding and happy to pass, and I wish them well with the piece. Now I'm hoping another NYMF show asks me to get involved!

Today, stop at Penn Station and pick up tomorrow's train ticket, spend the afternon at the 42nd Street NYPL, perhaps write a few notes on BABES and continue the proofing of what I've written. I've finished Mr Wilborn's chart and I'm waiting to hear if he wants me to send it to a copyist or to him.

I'm up, I'm up... And did any other Hainsie/Kimlets in the immediate NYC area hear that huge thunder BOOOOOOOMMMM around 5:40 this morning. WOW! I almost thought something huge had fallen outside. Then I started hearing the car alarms going off... and the downpour. WOW!

I'm only sort of joking with that question/comment. I have two friends here in NYC who thought they were getting but by mosquitoes while they were sleeping, only to find that it was bedbugs doing the dirty work.

I missed that, but at one point earlier I woke up because of a lightning flashthat was bright enough to penetrate my closed eyes.

Speaking of bed bugs, I pesticided the entire apartment again yesterday because something looking like a bed bug crawled up my leg yesterday morning and freaked me out. When I killed it, it wasn't full of blood so it might have been a small roach. Ugh!

My first floor neighbor Alicia has mice, so I'm fortunate, I guess.

I have an unusual day planned for today. My friend Gregg is coming into town to see AVENUE Q (the national tour is playing here this week), so he and best friend John and I are going out to dinner before he heads in for the show. (John and I saw it on Broadway with the original cast.) John is coming back here, and we're going to watch a movie, either in Blu-ray or HD-DVD.

I'm going to recommend THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM. He's seen the first two but not the third, and none in HD. He may choose to watch NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN on Blu-ray since he hasn't seen that either. Or SWEENEY TODD on sDVD since he's also not seen it. I let him choose since I've seen all of them.

So, I'll be spending a busy afternoon watching as many more episodes of THE HILLS as I can squeeze in. I doubt I'll be able to finish it, and I know there are bonus features on the last disc in the set which are also going to take some time to get through, so looks like I won't be finishing it until tomorrow.

Note to those who watch FLASHPOINT and/or SWINGTOWN:

CBS has switched their nights of broadcast. FLASHPOINT will now be shown on Thursday at 10 and SWINGTOWN on Friday at 10.

FLASHPOINT has done very well on Friday night, so if it performs well on Thursday, I'll bet CBS will order the series back into production as a midseason replacement.

LOL! I wish I could instead of watching, but it's all part of the job. SOmetimes there are shows I must watch that I'm simply not the target audience for. I hope I can still be objective about the good and bad points of the show, but that doesn't make it any less tedious to sit through since it's hard for me to get involved in these somewhat manufactured problems for these ladies.

I believe they bite whenever and wherever is it dark. So covered or uncovered, you could get bitten, I guess.

But I'm guessing the cooler temps in your part of the world - and having the windows open - are probably the source of your skeeters.
